• When seedlings' are 3-4 weeks old –go for transplanting
• No. of seedlings per hill -2-3
18. BEUSHANA ( in odia) & LEVELLING
• ‘’Beushana”–2 months after transplanting . ( when it is
of 1 foot height )- they do by standing in a wooden plank
( MAI) and pulled by bullocks .– helps in levelling of land
.
• In this process, Rice is present at upper level and weeds
goes to deep water level layers and gets decomposed &
mixed in the soil .
• –reduce weed growth and also exposes the resting
structures , pupal stages of insects .
19. BEUSHENING ( Khelua in odia )
After 2 weeks of beushana-- do khelua –maintain
the optimum plant population by uprooting plants
from densely populated areas to plane / gap areas
–thus maintains uniformity .
Also through this it gives a
good soil aeration in the
standing crops and done in
5-10 cm depth standing
water .

• Land preparation & sowing time– urea – 30 kg , ssp –
12kg , potash – 10kg per acre , Gromor ( 14-35-14) ---10
-12 kg / acre

established after disturbances .
urea – 10 kg / acre , gromor – 3-4 kg / ac.
