Scissors – is a small,
sharp and pointed-
good for fine work
use for trimming
scallops, clipping
threads and cutting
large eyelets.
18. 3. Embroidery Hoop – used to make
eyelets in the fabric to be embroidered.
It is also use to keep the fabric
stretched while embroidery stitches are
applied on the design.
19. 4. Tape Measure – used for
measuring more than one-foot
distance or materials.
20. 5. Thimbles – worn to
protect the middle
finger and push the
needle while doing
your embroidery
work.
21. 6. Needle Threader –
is use for easier
threading especially
by those sewers with
poor eyesight.

•Group Activity
Group 1
Draw at least 6 tools used in embroidery and
label each tool. Select a reporter to discuss in
front of the class about your output. Discuss it
using Mother Tongue.

Demonstrate the different embroidery
stitches. Select a reporter to discuss in front of
the class about your output. Discuss it in English
dialect.
Group 3
Make a short skit/ role play showing the
importance of embroidery in our everyday life.
Once done, show to the class your output. Do it in
Tagalog/ Filipino dialect.
