beginning of 2014, 40 thousand of them - are certified as highly qualified
specialists that create competitive export-oriented products.
Deficit is predicted during the 2017-2020 in the amount of 170 thousand,
in the export segment - almost 70 thousand people, in the domestic
market - almost 100,000

Professional standards in IT operate such concepts
Area of professional activity (functional area) - a group of similar
professional activities.
Type of professional activity - a set of generalized labor functions
that are close in nature, results and conditions of work;
Generalized labor function - a set of related work functions, created
by the division of labor in a particular industrial (business -) process;
Labor function – system of labor actions in the framework of the
generalized work function, which is defined by technological process;
Labor action – the simplest manufacturing operation in the process
of interaction with the subject of employee labor, which reached some
pre-set, purpose;
Worker’s qualification – a measure of professional training
employees to perform a specific type of work, which includes
theoretical knowledge and practical skills that must comply with the

Actuality of research
IT industries need competent professionals who are ready without any additional cost of employer successfully join the IT company. Educational IT Standards 2009-2012 years were developed without consideration of the needs of the IT industry and European ICT competency framework, the introduction of necessary requirements for training, experience and skills of the workforce. Thus, the development of professional standards, which are based on competence approach and European frame of competence, take into account trends of Ukrainian IT education and it is an urgent problem.
Indicators of development of the IT industry in Ukraine are shown on this slide
The share of IT sector in the Gross National Product, % is shown in this slide and is amounted to 1.99 percent.
There are qualitative staffing problems, particularly:
Creating of national systems of IT competences can resolve the problems of interaction between the state, the IT industry and IT education in Ukraine
The purpose of creation of professional standards is the next:
to improve level of professional skills of graduates through the formation of their competencies , which satisfy the needs of labor market in IT sphere.
Formation of competencies of IT graduates is carried out using IT Professional Standards, Educational Standards of Ukraine, Computing Curricula 2001/2013, International standards for IT (ANSI, IEEE, ISO, SCSI, AIS)
