- “Intelligent behavior is what human do” – Alan Turning, AI pioneer This is very basic model of why human is intelligent. We perceive and understand the world around us through our senses and rely on them to interact with each other and the world around us. We use our eyes to see and recognize objects, people and places. We use our ears to listen and understand what we are hearing. We use touch to feel temperature, texture and pressure. With all these sensory inputs, it passed through our trained intelligence through schools and daily interaction, and produce behaviors that interact with outside world
- The basic of computer is like this: data, programmed model, exert behaviours We use this kind of machine everyday, but now we want to have better people-machine interactions that are more natural. To create this experience that match how humans naturally interact, we have deep learning services with computer vision, speech, language understanding, knowledge and intelligent search. Who owns a smartphone? Who owns a fitness tracker? In these smart devices around you, there is a growing array of sensor capabilities interacts with you like cameras, speakers, microphones and tactile sensors. These devices have the ability to detect human interactions, understanding emotions through text you sent, photo you took, or audio you recorded, and collectively understand complicated intent of events in your daily life. Machine is able to understands you and the world around you. Let’s look at this individual mechanism. Let’s look at Vision.

I meant literally a whole new world. Imagine you can create your own language model to interact with humans, with your own set of terminologies and vocabularies, and train it.
