Weekly Progress
Microwave is electromagnetic wave with frequency between 300 MHz to 300GHz. There are
similar to radio wave but there are shorter. Microwave ovens heat foods quickly. In a microwave
oven, food may be heated for so short a time because heat requires time to diffuse through food.
A microwave oven converts only part of its electrical input into microwave energy. A typical
consumer microwave oven consumes 1100 W of electricity in producing 700 W of microwave power,
an efficiency of 64%.
ID student designed microwave to heat flow from the bottom to distribute heat more difficult
than sending from the top.
