The last Thursday ago, we, INC, received assignment from ID students that found the
technology electronic devices. Then I chose to find the technology about microwave ovens. How
does a microwave oven work? In the microwave oven, There is device called magnetron (Figure 1),
use to generate microwave. There is frequency 2,450 MHz which released off from blanks inside
the microwave oven (Figure 2), there are metallic walls. Those reflect back and forth inside the
microwave oven. Next, It is absorbed by food. Microwave through the food, so it makes molecule
oscillate and Collide, and the food will have heat and high temperature quickly. It is an important
reason that using the microwave oven for cooking is faster than a stove. The heat will increase fast
or slow that depend on quantity, moisture and shape of the food which put in the microwave oven.
Some food has heat uneven, so surface of the food will be warm, but the inside food will be boiling.

Strong Point
- Cooking is faster than cooking in stove.
- Cooking by microwave is comfortable.
Weak Point
- Food container must be built from materials which have microwave resistance.
- Microwaves will destroy all of useful nutrients in the food.
Next Weak Job
I will search a new technology of lamp because the ID students are interested.
