3. The Camera that I used in my opening sequence was a Panasonic HDC-
SD90 which can be seen in the pictures below. I have expanded my
knowledge of how to use the camera effectively since GCSE media which
meant the production of my work was of a higher quality. This was since
at GCSE level, the camera we used was only of a standard definition, it
had a less complex menu setting and it didn’t allow use of an external
microphone. However I managed to create an HD sequence due to the
camera’s high level of definition, the complex menu allowed me to adjust
settings such as white balance and made it easier to perform harder
techniques such as a focus pull and the camera made it available to
connect an external microphone. All the above elements meant that I
could produce a better quality video which looked professional and up
to the standard of those seen in cinemas.

4. As well as actually creating my finished opening
sequence, I learnt how to use the following three
presentation software devices: Xtranormal, Slideshare
and Prezi.. Xtranormal let me discover how to create
simple voiced animations which I’d have known how
to do before, Slideshare allowed me to upload
powerpoints so that I discovered my information could
still be organised and available to upload and lastly
Prezi let me discover I could present my information in
sections so I found it was easier to break up and it is an
interactive piece of software so people who view my
blog feel that they can be more involved in my work
someway.
These pieces of software were beneficial as it allowed
me to present my findings in an interesting way so that
people who view my blog will be more engaged with
the presented information
Furthermore it was beneficial as a media student to use
new media as it shows I am executing my skills
thoroughly and am aware of the different software
types that are available.

5. If I were to do the project again I’d try to develop my skills
to make the opening sequence more visually stimulating.
For example, I’d experiment more with the programme
Adobe After Effects to create special effects for the
sequence. By doing this it would make the opening
sequence seem more professional and therefore have a
greater sense of verisimilitude so my target audience would
stay thoroughly entertained.
