This document describes a smart helmet system with intercom features. The system includes a helmet module, bike module, and intercom module. The helmet module uses IR sensors to detect if a helmet is being worn and an alcohol sensor to detect alcohol consumption. The bike module uses a vibration sensor to detect accidents and a GSM module to send alerts. An intercom system allows for wireless communication between riders. The system aims to improve road safety by enforcing helmet usage and providing medical assistance in the event of an accident.

2. INTRODUCTION
In today’s era, especially in the young generation, the craze to ride bike is
rapidly increasing. The middle class families prefer to buy two-wheeler over
four-wheeler because of their low price.
As the number of two-wheeler are increasing, road mishaps are also
increasing day by day. In the event of an accidents, serious head injuries and
lack of timely medical help can cause death.
Thus, there is a need for a system which ensures safety of rider by
enforcing rider to wear helmet as per government guidelines and also assist
in providing the rider for a medical assistance in the event of an accident.

HELMET MODULE
Arduino (ATMega328P): Arduino UNO is used as a controller part in our
project for both bike and helmet module. We have connected analog and digital
pins to IR sensors and Alcohol sensor and interface for wireless connection has
been established using arduino uno
IR sensor: IR sensor is used to detect the presence of an object. in project we
used 2 IR sensor which are connected to the digital pins of arduino. The 5V
power supply is been given to each sensor.
MQ-3 Alcohol Sensor- The analog pin of the alcohol sensor is connected to
arduino ‘s analog pin A0.
NRF24L01- It is a module which we used for wireless communication. It is a
7 pin module. It has a SPI interface and MOSI and MISO pins connected to
9,10,11,12 digital pins of arduino. A 3.3V power supply has been given to this
module.

BIKE MODULE
Vibration Sensor- Vibration sensor is used to detect accident. It
has a digital pins connected to the arduino and 5V supply has been
given to power up the vibration sensor.
GSM SIM900A- SIM900A is a 2G technology based GSM
module which is used to send a alert message based on the
situation occurred. It has a 12V supply and pins Tx and Rx pins are
connected serially with arduino pins 2 and 3
GPS Neo6mv2- GPS module is used to find the location of the
biker or an accident location. It has 3.3V supply given . Pins Tx
and Rx are connected to Rx and Tx pin of arduino respectively.

18. CONCLUSION
Thus this system is very effective for the safety purpose of the user. User
has to wear helmet to ride a bike and hence traffic rules will be followed by
the rider.
This system is under pocket control i.e. Riding the two wheeler vehicle
having safety in hand and in budget. This system has easy functionalities. It
provides a better security to the biker.
