To design a smart helmet with features like road hazard warnings, finger print
authentication and alcoholic detection.
In this helmet, we are using GPS module to locate the position and road hazard
Implementing alcohol sensors within the helmet detect the presents of alcohol.
Finger print authentication used for security.
It consist of a robotic helmet unit and bike dash board unit.

DASH BOARD UNIT
It consist of a graphics LCD, transceiver, keypad and fingerprint
The finger print sensor checks whether the finger print of the rider
matches the previously stored finger print templates.
The control moves on to the smart helmet unit if it matches.
SMART HELMET UNIT
It also consists of a microcontroller, 2 microphones, GPS receiver, transceiver,
alcohol detector ,audio decoder and a headphone.
The microcontroller checks the output of the alcohol detector if the output is
high the bike doesn’t start.
Along with alcohol detection it also checks whether
The clips of the helmets are in place.
The bike starts only if the three conditions are satisfied.
The audio recorder records hazard warnings dictated by the rider with the help
The role of the GPS is to warn the rider with these hazard warnings once the
rider reaches 10m ahead of the hazard.
Helmet will warn the rider when road hazard is ahead.
