Optimism is expecting that the best will happen. It comes from the Latin
word optimus, which means "best." Even if you don’t think the very best
thing will always happen, if you're generally given to optimism, you think
things will get better instead of worse.

Optimists are those who, in general, have a
positive attitude on life. They have an ability to
look on the bright side of most circumstances and
have an optimistic view of life, expecting things to
work out for the best.

Pessimistic reaction tends to focus on the problem or the
bad parts of the event. This can make you feel like you've
lost something, are unhappy, are stressed out, or feel
like you've been left out.

change the circumstances so that it makes you feel
better or happier.
Pessimism has been linked with depression, stress,
and anxiety, whereas optimism has been shown to
serve as a protective factor against depression, as
well as a number of serious medical problems,
including coronary heart disease.
Having an optimistic mindset helps people
accept themselves and the circumstances
and take more responsibility for how they
feel and what they can do about it.

score on their optimism scale, the risk of early death decreased
by 19%.
The process of recovering from illness and disease is also aided
by optimism. Numerous research have looked into how
optimistic people fare after receiving cancer therapy (Carver et
al., 1993; Schou, Ekeberg, & Ruland, 2005). According to these
research, those who are positive are less distressed when given
potentially fatal cancer diagnoses.

In one study, elderly adults were immunized for influenza. Two
weeks later, their immune response to the vaccination was
measured. Greater optimism predicted greater antibody
production and better immune outcomes. (Kohut, Cooper,
Nickolaus, Russell, & Cunnick, 2002)
In conclusion...
Positive thinking may have a significant impact on one's physical
health. A person's immune system can be strengthened, they can be
protected from dangerous habits, they can avoid chronic disease,
and they can handle better with bad news just by having hope and
anticipating good things to happen. Even a longer life can be
predicted by optimism. Optimism may be one of the most important
psychological variables for predicting physical health.

difficult life events.
Optimism has been associated with improved reactions to a
range of challenges, from the little to the major.
It suggests that optimism has a protective effect by helping
people deal with extremely challenging situations. Additionally,

life satisfaction and self-esteem.
By giving more attention to positive than bad results, optimists
are also better equipped to bounce back from setbacks.
When presented with challenges, optimists are also more likely
to solve problems, which is likewise linked to greater
psychological well-being.

It is clear that optimism is a powerful tool to keep us healthy,
happy, and alive. This news is great for people who are “natural”
optimists.
People who are mentally and emotionally healthy are usually optimistic.
Many experts in human psychology think that optimism is very good for
a person's mental and emotional health.
Sometimes, a pessimistic attitude is more realistic. Life can be difficult,
and bad things do happen to people. Pessimism can keep people from
being disappointed. If they don't expect something good to happen, they
won't feel as bad if it doesn't.
But in general, optimism helps people keep their mental balance when
things get hard. Being optimistic doesn't mean that a person can't look at
or talk about negative circumstances.
People who are more optimistic tend to bounce back
from hard times faster. They have faith that they can
cope with whatever that comes their way, even if it's not
the outcome they had hoped for.

Listen to a song or playlist that will make you cheerful and will boost your spirits.
Give someone a compliment or show them some kindness by doing something pleasant for
them. This will bring some optimism into the world.

This doesn't mean you should ignore problems or difficulties or
act like nothing bad is going on. But it does mean that you try to
find ways out of a problem and think about what good might

When bad things happen, optimists tend to see each one as a one-time thing,
while pessimists look for trends and think, "If it happened once, it will happen
again." However, you shouldn't try to guess the future based on the past.
Keep in mind that just because something disappointing has occurred to you before
does not guarantee it will happen again, and that the failure of a goal or a
relationship does not make you a failure.

Over time, this can make you feel bad about yourself and make it hard to
change your mind.
Avoiding this, Positive Self-talk is everything you say to yourself or think to
yourself throughout the day. All of these things can help you choose the
positive over the negative when life gives you challenges and worries.
