Maintaining Equilibrium
Equilibrium defined
 This refers to a state of comfort attained by an individual
psychologically through formulation of beliefs about various aspects of
life.
 Various sources of in-equilibrium exists naturally in ones immediate
environment.
 In this case, different people respond differently.
 The factors tend to make individuals to be in greater need
for maintaining relationships with others.
 This maybe in the form of socialization or getting into
celebrations on various causes.
 This help to reintroduce a state of equilibrium into an
individuals life.
 Failure to attain a state of equilibrium or the loss of it leads one to
start experiencing stress.
 Pressures in the business world too have an impact on individuals
stress levels as the values tend to clash with ones personal beliefs and
spirituality.
 Individuals are therefore in a constant battle to maintain a particular
level of mental equilibrium.
How to maintain a state of balance
1. Always following our natural guidance which normally aligns our thought
processes.
2. Develop a conscious state of understanding ourselves especially through
mono-tasking.
3. Allowing people to attain the highest level of their capabilities through
coaching and empowering them.
4. Allowing oneself to listen to the ones inner wisdom through activities such as
meditation for better understanding.
Following our natural guidance
 This refers to a process of taking control of ones thought processes in
order to attain a state of equilibrium.
 This includes using your view of the world and the nature of
occurrences and determining how that fits into the collective social
setting.
 Ultimately this enables one to align our thought process towards a
particular direction hence attaining greater levels of equilibrium.
Developing conscious understanding of
self
 This approach is of the view that multitasking is always not the best form of
personal coexistence within an individual.
 This is because one cannot entirely dedicate their attention to one task only
at the expense of the other task.
 Dedicating ones attention to a particular task tends to increase ones
effectiveness in tackling the issue.
Coaching and empowering others
 Workplace environment tends to sometimes be very stressful due to preset
timelines on what one can and cannot do.
 Targets are set to be achieved where failure to attain them has repercussions
to the individual in question thus resulting in a consistent state of in-
equilibrium.
 coaching and empowering individuals helps them to overcome such
shortcomings as they can perform at the best of their efforts.
Listening to ones inner wisdom
 This revolves around taking into activities that allow you to be in a state of
minimal disturbance as is common with a normal schedule.
 This will include undertaking activities such as meditation and trying to better
understand your inner self rather than learning new information from the
environment.
 This helps to create a different picture or viewpoint concerning hardships
that one could be facing thus making it easier to move back into equilibrium.
The impact of inadequate sleep
 The changing economic conditions consistently push people towards
relegation of the importance of sleeping.
 The risk increases as they continuously view the various avenues as
more satisfying than sleeping itself.
 This in turn increases individuals fear of the unknown further
increasing their level of imbalance.
