SUMMARY
I am currently serving as the manager of Development & Strategic Communications for
Teach For America-Oklahoma City. I have also served as a creative corporate
communications and marketing professional for two Fortune 100 companies and for many
top Oklahoma employers and organizations. My expertise includes media relations, brand
management, special events and strategic corporate giving. I’m certified by the state of
Oklahoma in Crisis and Emergency Management and as a state public information officer.
As a leader in media, public and community relations, I’m skilled at
researching/writing/editing compelling content in a wide variety of formats, including print,
online, social media, technical writing, video and radio PSAs, speeches and advertising. I
have also served as an officer and as the president of the PRSA OKC chapter and OU’s
AWIC chapter. I am a current board member of SPJ-Oklahoma.

Manager of Development & Strategic Communications (August 2015 – Current)
Coordinates with lead for team to create a vision and strategic plan for corporate and individual
donor acquisition, cultivation and stewardship. Project manager for region’s primary campaigns.
Responsible for increasing conversion rate of new prospects from neutral party to engaged
donor in our pipelines. Manage donor stewardship, including donor learning and events. Recruit,
coordinate with and prepare corps members, alumni and staff, as needed, to engage in donor
campaigns and stewardship. Provide support to the lead related to leveraging relationships with
local media to advance awareness of our work.

Public Information Manager II, Developmental Disabilities Services (Jan. 2014 – August
2015) Strategically planned and implemented public information programs and special events
(co-chair of the Oklahoma Governor’s Conference on Developmental Disabilities and the
Oklahoma Governor’s Developmental Disabilities Employment Awards). Established and
maintained cooperative relationships with federal, state and local officials and agencies. Served
as a public spokesperson with the media and represented the agency at public programs, on
official business and at professional conferences and seminars. Advised the director and senior
management team on matters concerning the agency's public image and brand. Served as a
public information consultant to agency clients and provided in-service training to staff.
Researched, wrote and developed speeches, media releases and maintained user-friendly
internal and external websites, as well as produced public service announcements and videos.

Pan-Global Communications Specialist 4 (Feb. 2009 – Dec. 2009)
Served as a communications specialist with BCA’s International and Sales Communications
Division. Developed and executed strategic internal and external communications and
marketing initiatives aligned with Boeing’s international media relations plans. Facilitated select
pan-global company tours, presentations and contributed to a wide variety of corporate
communications deliverables, including special events, online publications and more.
THE BOEING COMPANY, Renton, Wash.
Northwest Region Communications Specialist IV (Sept. 2006 – Feb. 2009) Co-created and
co-coordinated various strategic communications efforts for Global Corporate Citizenship (GCC)
in the Northwest Region for BCA. Duties included the implementation of assigned GCC NW’s
media, marketing and public relations initiatives, as well as advertising and intellectual property
and brand/image management. Co-planned and led numerous marketing initiatives, special
events and contributed to the success of BCA’s corporate sponsorship activities. I served as a
company spokesperson and produced speeches and presentations.
Writer/editor/photographer/videographer and contributor to BCA’s media releases, Frontiers
magazine and Boeing News Now. Received dozens of internal awards, including $1,000 award
for creating The Apple Cup Boeing Career Game Plan initiative.

Served as a general assignment reporter responsible for real estate, technology and other
business-related beats. Earned $500 award for increasing subscriptions.
OKLAHOMAAERONAUTICS COMMISSION, Oklahoma City, Okla.
Public Information Officer (Dec. 2004 – Dec. 2005) Managed all communications-related and
marketing activities for the commission. Led public relations strategies, media relations and
planned and implemented special events. Wrote marketing materials, media releases,
newsletters and speeches. Managed the commission’s photography, created the commission’s
first website and served as the commission’s online content manager.

Public Information Specialist (May 2003 – Dec. 2004) Co-coordinator of internal and external
image projects. Served as editor of OKDHS’ award-winning print and online newsletter, Inside
OKDHS. Served as one of the department’s spokespersons and led special projects, including
marketing deliverables, TV and radio PSAs and heightened the department’s overall
community-giving and charitable contribution awareness. Increased Inside OKDHS’ content
production by 300 percent.

Deputy Managing Editor/Features Editor/Protocol Leader (2001-2002) Co-managed and
wrote for the largest newspaper in the dual-island nation.

management and international communications team member. Developed individual print and

Directed award-winning community giving and outreach projects and managed volunteer
activities. Doubled media hits each year. Managed local and state government relations,
