SUMMARY
I am currently the public information manager II for Developmental Disabilities Services at the Oklahoma
Department of Human Services. I have also served as a creative corporate communications and marketing
professional for two Fortune 100 companies and for many top Oklahoma employers and organizations. My
expertise includes media relations, brand management, special events and strategic corporate giving. I’m
certified by the State of Oklahoma in Crisis and Emergency Management and as a state public information
officer. As a leader in media, public and community relations, I’m skilled at researching/writing/editing
compelling content in a wide variety of formats, including print, online, social media, technical writing, video
and radio PSAs, speeches and advertising, I have also served as an officer and as the president of the PRSA
OKC Chapter and OU’s AWIC Chapter. I am also a current board member for SPJ Oklahoma. As time

OKLAHOMA DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES
Public Information Manager II, Developmental Disabilities Services (Jan. 2014 –Present) I
strategically plan and implement public information programs and special events (co-chair of the
Oklahoma Governor’s Conference on Developmental Disabilities and the Oklahoma Governor’s
Developmental Disabilities Employment Awards). I establish and maintain cooperative
relationships with federal, state and local officials and agencies. Iserve as a public spokesperson with
the media and represent the agency at public programs, on official business and at professional
conferences and seminars. It is my job to advise the director and senior management team on
matters concerning the agency's public image and brand. I serve as a public information consultant
to agency clients and provide in-service training to staff. It is my job is to research, write and
develop speeches, media releases and to maintain user-friendly internal and external websites, as
well as produce public service announcements and videos.

Regional Publications Manager for Oklahoma (January 2013 – July 16, 2013) for hibu Inc. Launched first
issues of Quail Living, North Edmond Life, Deer Creek Life and Choctaw & Harrah Life monthly magazines
in April. Served as acting manager and editor coordinating all editorial and design aspects of the magazines.

Pan-Global Communications Specialist 4 (February 2009-December 2009) Communications specialist for
Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ (BCA) International and Sales Communications division. Developed and
executed strategic internal and external communications and marketing initiatives aligned with Boeing’s
international media relations plans. Facilitated select pan-global company tours, presentations and contributed
to a wide variety of corporate communications deliverables, including special events, online publications and
more.

Northwest Region Communications Specialist 4 (September 2006-February 2009) Co-created and co-
coordinated various strategic communications efforts for Global Corporate Citizenship (GCC) in the
Northwest Region for BCA. Duties included the implementation of assigned GCC NW’s media, marketing
and public relations initiatives, as well as advertising and intellectual property and brand/image management.
Co-planned and led numerous marketing initiatives, special events and contributed to the success of BCA’s
corporate sponsorship activities. Served as a company spokesperson and produced speeches and
presentations. Writer/editor/photographer/videographer and contributor to BCA’s media releases, Frontiers
magazine and Boeing News Now. Received dozens of internal awards, including $1,000 for creating

OKLAHOMA AERONAUTICS COMMISSION, Oklahoma City, Okla.
Public Information Officer (December 2004-December 2005) Managed all communications-related and
marketing activities for the commission. Led public relations strategies, media relations and planned and
implemented special events. Wrote marketing materials, media releases, newsletters and speeches. Managed
commission’s photography duties, created the commission’s first website and served as the commission’s
online content manager.

Inside OKDHS’ content production by 300 percent.
