2. Schedule
Weekly
plan
What I need to do Done/on time or not
Week 1 I need to make a schedule for the 4 weeks of production,
make a mood board for my logo make a few logo
designs and choose a final design and talk about it then
make a mood board for my posters.
Done
A little behind schedule as I
haven't completed my mood
board for my posters
Week 2 I need to do a photoshoot for my posters edit the
images and talk about them. I need to make a first draft
of my poster and bus ad then I need to write about the
pros and cons and get some feedback so I can improve
them I then need to start on the final draft.
Done
Week 3 I will finish my final draft then I will write about the pros
and cons get feed back and if I have time act upon that
feedback.
Done
Week 4 Make some merchandise. Done
Way ahead of schedule this
was done in week 3.
7. Choosing
◦ For my final logo I needed to choose between two designs as I personally couldn't decide as I
liked both equally I asked some friends what they thought. Out of 10 people the majority when
with the purple ribbon after a while I realized that was the best option as it will go with any
theme good or bad and wont stick out like a sore thumb.
8. Final Logo
This is my final logo I like this logo as it is simple and effective it will
also work with any poster. The ribbon is the symbol for domestic
abuse its to symbolize courage, survival, honor and dedication to
end domestic violence. Although the exact history of the purple
ribbon is difficult to pinpoint, across the country, families and
friends of victims have adopted the ribbon to remember and honor
their loved ones who have lost their lives at the hands of a person
they once loved and trusted. I used this type font as I believed it
was an good font for the topic as it looks like someone has
scratched it in to the wall as if they where tying to get help with out
bringing to much attention to it which a lot of people that are a
victim to domestic abuse will do as they may get hurt even more if
the abuser finds out that they are trying to get away.
12. Ideas/ Final Design
This is my first draft of my social action poster campaign on Domestic abuse. In this poster campaign I want all the people to look happy as it is hard to see a victim of
domestic abuse. I used a white ’wood’ background as I wanted a simple plain background but I didn't want one solid colour but also I didn't want the background to
overpower the images I believe the background is perfect for this campaign and poster. I then cut my subjects out of the plain white background that I had took their
images on then placed them on the background like I wanted them then added a black and white overlay to them I them added the quote and the logo so the only
colour on the poster was the purple which represents the fight against domestic abuse.
Feedback:
They are really good and effective but also simple gets the point across not to much to read and good colour scheme.
14. Merchandise
With my merchandise I wanted to keep it really simply but effective so I used all white products
when added my logo to the product.
Feedback:
All the smaller things like badges and keyrings work the t-shirts and hoodies not so much as not
a lot of people will buy a t-shirt in support they are more likely to buy a badge or wristband
there for maybe make more informational design for the volunteers that will be on the street
talking about the campaign.
My view:
From the feedback I agree that the clothing items may not work how I would like them to.
