Preface and Acknowledgement
Currently I’m completing a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations at
Hanseo University,Korea. I’m in my 4th
year and therefore I have to conduct a
semester internship. The reason I choose to do my internship international is
because I wanted to benefit from the experience. After following some
internships in Korea during my previous education, I wanted a new challenge. I
wanted to do my internship abroad to experience the international business
world and to learning, improve and develop new sets of skills. One of my main
goals is to improve my knowledge. Another goal is that I’m planning to study
abroad and follow a Masters program. This is why I choose to follow my
internship international to learn and develop new sets of skills and to
experience working abroad. It seemed convenient for me knowing my own
society is nearby. In this internship report I will describe my experiences
during my internship period. The internship report contains an overview of the
internship company and the activities, tasks and projects that I have worked on
during my internship. Writing this report, I also will describe and reflect my

The internship report plays a good role for me of Bachelor of International
Relations, because that gives somehow practical experience to
implementation of the theoretical knowledge. Without adopting proper
methods it is difficult to conduct a successful research. The optimum
outcome of the research depends largely upon the adopting of the proper
methods suitable to the research topic in the field of investigation.
To prepare this report I mostly depend on the experience and secondary data
The Internship Report
Page 5
beside this I also use primary data. Company Insight, advertising, Catalogs
of the Company brochures, books, reports etc are the source of secondary
data. Based on this information I prepare this qualitative report because it
was having an unstructured exploratory research methodology based on
observation for providing insights of the report topic.
INTRODUCTION :
The following report describes the activities carried out during a 15- week,
full-time internship at the B&F Korea Ltd. The document contains information
about the organization and the responsibilities performed throughout the period
between March and June 2017. More than a plain account of tasks, the
objective of this text is to reflect upon the experiences. The first part of the
report offers an overview of the organization, followed by the working plan
initially agreed upon with the Organization and approved by the Hanseo
University . Following, it proceeds to describe in some detail the most relevant
projects carried out and their respective analysis. Finally, the report wraps-up
with a few closing remarks and conclusions from the experience.
Limitations of the study:
Limitations, I had to face on preparing the report is portrayed below:
In-experience on preparing this sort of report.
 ECR is the new product in Bangladesh.
 In-available information related to the report as not so big company.
 Improper knowledge on technological know how.
 Language proficiency.
 Company policy about the secrecy of the information.
 For time and cost constraints, the duration of the study was very short
to know all the activities of this company.
 Lack of knowledge about ECR company.
 Difficult to take information form the respondent and fill questionnaire.

ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE OF B&F KOREA Ltd;
This company born in 2015 as joint venture in Bangladesh and only some share
holders was there but after that more Korean investor came out for making
business in Bangladesh with Korean product .The main product is Bacchus
healthy drinks which is very renown in Korea also exporting so many
countries .I will give product explanations in next paragraph though. This
company buying product from Korea and selling in other country like
china ,Bangladesh they has the plan to expand there territory in other lands too .
Product information:
I must talk about the product I work for ,and that is Bacchus energy drinks. Which is
Bacchus (Korean:박카스) is a non-carbonated South Korean, first launched in
1963. It has been called Bacchus-F before a change in formula in the 1990s,
after which it was known as Bacchus-Dto note the increased amount of
Taurine in the product (2000mg). Both formulas are manufactured by Dong-A
Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., part of the Dong-A Socio Group; and is also
distributed in the United States under the Dong-A America Corporation in a 3.3
oz glass bottle (approximately 1/3 the size of a Red Bull)
My duty :
Not only knowledge about specific product but also to run in new market this
product I had to work so hard. Korean company sent this to the Bangladesh and
the local office receive that so here is the things to be done .That is taxations in
custom ,tariff of governments etc. As I have done my internship here so I have
been for short time all the departments like administration to the field
marketing even though promotional events .
DAILY TASKS AND ACTIVITIES (Korea & Bangladesh):
The Internship Report
Page 7
During my internship at this company, I have worked on multiple tasks,
projects and activities. Those can be divided into daily tasks that involve office
work, and the on-site activities that have to be conducted at the actual events.
Daily tasks and activities (routine)
I. Organizing/editing event schedules and documents
II. Mailing letters to clients & both countries employers
III. Researching upcoming events
IV.Marketing and promoting events
V. Writing and posting about events
VI.Maintaining budgets of events
Internship Positions:
My department of internship program is under marketing department. So I
am fully involved in marketing department. But I have to know about whole
organization’s work so that our management put us on every department for
several days. For this decision of management I am very happy because I
know every department’s function clearly.
Every day I have to go office at 9.00 am like all there employees and stay up
to 6.00 pm. Some days my work area is in office and some day’s work was
out of office, in the field. Management scheduled me what time I will spend
in what department. On those guidelines I stay at various departments at
various days and learnt something new everyday.
I have learnt many things from this company about office work about
customer dealing.

mission statement, long term vision and business goals of the company.

Learning Point:
From B&F Korea Ltd, I have learned many things about official work,
behavior and how to deal with customer. I have learned how to solve a
customer problem.
Management Style:
I have seen that the management style of company is democratic because
when any decision is taken from the top level it is informed to the lower
level for their comment to take.We follow in maximum area korean style
managing and one thing more that is do harder like korean style.
Human Resource Management Process:
B&F Korea Ltd, has a small HRM unit to look after the company day to day
affairs regarding Human Resources Management planning and control. This
unit recruits management staffs only at the entry level manpower’s in the
selling units. This unit has sole authority to recruit sells staffs as required for
marketing and production units.
It’s goes by some course work, firstly to do market sells idea company sent
me to the real market vising to get practical idea. Basic of Export & Import,
The Internship Report
Page 10
As this company is importing from Korean Dong-A pharmaceutical products in
Bangladesh .So I must to have export and import ideas as well taxations on
product. After a week learning and discussion with my supervisor I came to
this point.
In Bangladeshi Custom and Calculating duties:
This is very interesting matter to learn and I got real idea to the real fields.
Calculating duties For some types of goods, like textiles and foodstuffs,
customs duty may be payable. Customs duty are generally calculated based on
the value of the goods (customs value) or a rate per kilo, liter, or piece. The
customs duty rate for the goods you are importing is determined by the
commodity code in the Customs Tariff in which the goods are classified.
Import, Bangladeshi company B&F Dhaka Ltd ask to the C&F agency to deal
with our products from the cargo ship as well as government tax and charges
needed.
Special taxes: Special taxes must be paid or reported for some types of
goods. These include alcohol, tobacco, sugar, chocolate, and oil-based products.
The Norwegian Tax Administration is responsible for the special taxes.
Customs value
The customs value is the amount paid or payable for goods abroad, including
the cost of their transportation to Norway, insurance, packaging costs, and
The Internship Report
Page 11
similar. If you collect the goods abroad yourself, you will be charged a standard
supplement for shipping costs.
Please note that any royalties and agent commissions are often added to the
customs value. If you have contributed to the production of the goods abroad,
the cost of this must also be added.
In most cases, the customs value is calculated as follows:
price of goods
+ insurance (where applicable)
+ cost of packaging and the like
+ fees, royalties, commission, or the like (where applicable)
+ shipping costs
= customs value
For an intern student those knowledge is very important to begin with and our
company gave me so much freedom to learn .I have work Korea and
Bangladesh both side so its becomes more informative for me to understand the
reality of practical Business style ,system ,Norms and so on.
Benefits of an Internship
After done of my internship I have reach to this point of benefit is ,One of the
recurring point on any beginner job search is the lack of experience. Where do
The Internship Report
Page 12
I get experience if no one is willing to hire me ,The answer is simple Get an
internship.
When we planning to enter the permanent work force should complement their
academic courses with a range of other job search, such as study abroad,
community service, undergraduate research experiences, participation in sports
and other student organizations, membership in pre-professional organizations,
and internships.
In my perceptions, an internship offers a student to the chance to learn by doing
in a setting where we are supervised by a work-place professional, and have the
opportunity to achieve our personal learning goals, without the responsibilities
of being a permanent employee.
Internship also offers us the opportunity to work with someone who can
become a mentor for us - not only in the internship, but throughout the career.
So ,as my working experience I like to recommend my fellow friends to be
strong in a job field and to be achieve our best goal do the internship in any
company but I think if mid large or small company than that’s better .Cause in
small company we can learn from every sector but in big company there will
not be several chance to move every where .
INTERNSHIP EVALUATION
Before the internship my knowledge of administration and management
control on international level was minimal and when it comes to practical real
life oriented , I knew nothing at all.
Now that my 15-weeks internship is over, I feel I have really learned a lot.
The Internship Report
Page 13
First of all, I became more familiar with the management and markating
procedure in a international level and the role of different company. I did not
just learn to do my daily tasks, but got confident inside the strengths of
management, as well as its weaknesses and the need for improvement.
In other way, I can not express that this internship was challenging and I had
to give a lot of hard work. A few weeks after the beginning I started hoping for
a huge variety of assignments to keep myself busy and making new things with
new generation’s idea.. What is more, I felt like my work did not matter that
much and I could have put my potential to the better use, but that’s just
probably a matter of my goals.
Despite the fact that this internship didn’t keep me as much interested as I
wished, I admit that there still is quite a lot to learn.
Another thing of great value would be to get more familiar with policy-making
on an international level.

It has been called Bacchus-F before a change in formula in the 1990s, after which it was known as Bacchus-Dto note the increased amount of Taurine in the product (2000mg). For this decision of management I am very happy because I know every department’s function clearly. Every day I have to go office at 9.00 am like all there employees and stay up to 6.00 pm. Some days my work area is in office and some day’s work was out of office, in the field. Management scheduled me what time I will spend in what department. On those guidelines I stay at various departments at various days and learnt something new everyday. I have learnt many things from this company about office work about customer dealing. • 10. The Internship Report Page 10 As this company is importing from Korean Dong-A pharmaceutical products in Bangladesh .So I must to have export and import ideas as well taxations on product. After a week learning and discussion with my supervisor I came to this point. In Bangladeshi Custom and Calculating duties: This is very interesting matter to learn and I got real idea to the real fields. Calculating duties For some types of goods, like textiles and foodstuffs, customs duty may be payable. Customs duty are generally calculated based on the value of the goods (customs value) or a rate per kilo, liter, or piece. The customs duty rate for the goods you are importing is determined by the commodity code in the Customs Tariff in which the goods are classified. Import, Bangladeshi company B&F Dhaka Ltd ask to the C&F agency to deal with our products from the cargo ship as well as government tax and charges needed. Special taxes: Special taxes must be paid or reported for some types of goods. These include alcohol, tobacco, sugar, chocolate, and oil-based products. The Norwegian Tax Administration is responsible for the special taxes. Customs value The customs value is the amount paid or payable for goods abroad, including the cost of their transportation to Norway, insurance, packaging costs, and
  • 11. The Internship Report Page 11 similar. If you collect the goods abroad yourself, you will be charged a standard supplement for shipping costs. Please note that any royalties and agent commissions are often added to the customs value. If you have contributed to the production of the goods abroad, the cost of this must also be added. In most cases, the customs value is calculated as follows: price of goods + insurance (where applicable) + cost of packaging and the like + fees, royalties, commission, or the like (where applicable) + shipping costs = customs value For an intern student those knowledge is very important to begin with and our company gave me so much freedom to learn .I have work Korea and Bangladesh both side so its becomes more informative for me to understand the reality of practical Business style ,system ,Norms and so on. Benefits of an Internship After done of my internship I have reach to this point of benefit is ,One of the recurring point on any beginner job search is the lack of experience. Where do
  • 12. The Internship Report Page 12 I get experience if no one is willing to hire me ,The answer is simple Get an internship. When we planning to enter the permanent work force should complement their academic courses with a range of other job search, such as study abroad, community service, undergraduate research experiences, participation in sports and other student organizations, membership in pre-professional organizations, and internships. In my perceptions, an internship offers a student to the chance to learn by doing in a setting where we are supervised by a work-place professional, and have the opportunity to achieve our personal learning goals, without the responsibilities of being a permanent employee. Internship also offers us the opportunity to work with someone who can become a mentor for us - not only in the internship, but throughout the career. So ,as my working experience I like to recommend my fellow friends to be strong in a job field and to be achieve our best goal do the internship in any company but I think if mid large or small company than that’s better .Cause in small company we can learn from every sector but in big company there will not be several chance to move every where . INTERNSHIP EVALUATION Before the internship my knowledge of administration and management control on international level was minimal and when it comes to practical real life oriented , I knew nothing at all. Now that my 15-weeks internship is over, I feel I have really learned a lot.
  • 13. The Internship Report Page 13 First of all, I became more familiar with the management and markating procedure in a international level and the role of different company. I did not just learn to do my daily tasks, but got confident inside the strengths of management, as well as its weaknesses and the need for improvement. In other way, I can not express that this internship was challenging and I had to give a lot of hard work. A few weeks after the beginning I started hoping for a huge variety of assignments to keep myself busy and making new things with new generation’s idea.. What is more, I felt like my work did not matter that much and I could have put my potential to the better use, but that’s just probably a matter of my goals. Despite the fact that this internship didn’t keep me as much interested as I wished, I admit that there still is quite a lot to learn. Another thing of great value would be to get more familiar with policy-making on an international level. Kazi Abdullah Al Mamun Department: International Relations.
