2. ABOUT
FIRA
FIRA or other name as Federation of International Robot-soccer
Association. FIRA offers a challenging arena to the young generation and
researchers working with autonomous mobile robotic systems. It is hoped
that FIRA’s flagship event, called the FIRA Robot World Cup (or the FIRA
Cup in short), which started in 1996, together with many other FIRA
events, will help generate interests in robotics in the young minds.

4. 15TH FIRA MALAYSIA CUP
2022
POLITEKNIK NILAI participated in the FIRA Competition, which was
represented by 7 lecturers and 7 students.
The POLITEKNIK IBRAHIM SULTAN Johor hosted the launch of the 15th
FIRA Malaysia Cup in 2022.
Submitted entries in five separate subcategories.
However, there were many issues that arose during the event,
including software and hardware issues.
POLITEKNIK NILAI received one gold medal during the entire
competition in the drone simulation challenge.
Due to their success, POLITEKNIK NILAI and other POLITEKNIK are now
qualified to compete in the world cup this year.

5. FIRA SIMULCUP 2022
• FIRA 2022 will be organized as a SimulCup, that
is, real robot events will be organized and
judged simultaneously in several hubs world-
wide.
• The event will take held this year at Iran Server,
one of FIRA's major communities.
• POLITEKNIK NILAI is one of the five POLITEKNIK
chosen to represent Malaysia at SimulCup
2022.
• In this event, POLITEKNIK NILAI will be
represented by 3 lecturers and 2 students.
• Discord will be used as the major platform for
the world cup, which will run from August 18 to
23, 2022.
