Do now – Sentence or Fragment…with a
twist…
Write your own sentence or fragment quiz! Can someone
in your household get it right?
Over the remaining part of the week you’re going to be writing a
story. This story can be about whatever you would like! If you’re
struggling for ideas you might like to retell a story that you’ve
read or an event that has happened to you.
We’re going to work through a series of activities over the next
couple of days to reach our final outcome of the story!
Today we are going to think only about the main character of
your story. We are going to create a character profile. In this
character profile, we are going to think about what they look
like, their personality, their likes and their dislikes.
Our first job is to prepare our page. You will need a whole page
for this so make sure you turn over in your book so you have a
fresh page in front of you. Split up your page as shown on the
next slide – please use a ruler if you have one 
Now lets look at how we are going to
set out our character profile. You don’t
need to write the headings in your box.
The slide is just for you to refer back to
whilst you’re doing your work
What the character
looks like…
What are they like
as a person…
What do they like… What do they
dislike…
Draw a picture
of your
character and
include their
name!
Lets take a look at a WAGOLL
