Dear Prospective Employer,
I am in the process of permanently moving to Nashville and I'm currently seeking employment in the area. I
have an extreme passion for country music. My ultimate goal, and dream, is to have a career somewhere
within the country music industry. I don't have the talent required for a singing career and that's not the
professional path I'm searching for. My love for music goes far beyond listening to a song play on radio and
enjoying it. My interest is in every aspect of the industry from beginning to end, all the things that go on
behind the scenes to create a record and get it out there for the listeners to hear. I want to serve the industry
that I'm so passionate about in any way that I can, whether it be as a receptionist, or in administration, or in
human resources, etc. ....just as long as it's somewhere within the music industry. No position or job title is too
small, they all have a role in the music process and they all make a difference. Being able to support
something I'm so passionate about and feel like I'm serving a purpose is all I desire....and country music is
what I'm passionate about and it's what I love. I believe that there are two types of people...one's that "hear"
music and one's that can also "feel" music when they hear it. I'm one who feels music when I listen to it. I can
easily get lost and consumed in the lyrics, the sound, and the emotion of a song. I love the impact that music
can have on people. There's always a song to turn to and relate to no matter what your mood or what your
situation is. I think of music as a universal healer and comforter of sorts. Just one sentence of one song can
change a life for someone, sometimes it may even save one. That's just the power of music. There's not a
single day that goes by that music is not a part of me and a part of my life, without it I'd be lost. I may not have
the “hands on” experience in the music industry that other applicants might have, but given the opportunity
I'd love to show you how my passion for music and my determination for this career can make me a future
asset to your company.

Reason for leaving: I left for maternity leave to have my daughter and to stay at home for her first few years.
Positions Held: I was initially hired as the Business Office Manager. On January 1, 2008 I was promoted to the position of Accounts
Receivable Manager. In May 2009 I was given the position of Human Resources Manager, while still maintaining my position and
duties as AR Manager at the same time.
Accounts Receivable Manager:
Handle the billing and collection of medicare, Medicaid, managed care, insurance, and private monies for all residents
Post payments for all of the different pay types to the correct accounts according to the services rendered and dates of service
Verify all insurance eligibility and benefits for all patients before admission to the facility
Make collection calls, send collection notices, and take legal action when necessary to collect on past due accounts
Create contract agreements for repayment plans when necessary
Track medicare days for all medicare patients
Notify residents and/or responsible parties of any upcoming charges that will be owed by private payment and provide explanations
for the charges
Research history of patient accounts to find reasons for outstanding balances and bill correctly to collect those balances
Personally create and type bills each month for any patients contracted under hospice care
File insurance certificates each month for any patients enrolled in long term care insurance policies
Follow up on all denied claims to resolve any issues or coding errors preventing payment, correct errors, re-bill for payment, and
follow up until paid
Human Resources Manager:
Process all new hire paperwork
Complete I-9’s, W-9’s, and NC State tax forms for all new employees and filing status changes
Conduct weekly orientation for all new employees
Complete wage and employment verifications in a timely manner when received from employee or 3rd
party
Answer any questions or concerns employees have regarding their medical, dental, life insurance, 401K, vacation or sick time
benefits, and make changes to those benefits when necessary
Maintain current and accurate employee files for a total of 150+ employees in compliance with state regulations
