EPANDING THE CONTENT OF AN OUTLINE using notes.pptx
English tips
1. If two sentences have different subjects but the same verb, you can change the
second sentence to a short response with auxiliary verbs. Too or so appears in
the affirmative, and either or neither appears in the negative.
Tag questions are short questions at the ends of sentences. They use the same
auxiliary verbs as yes/no questions.
- If the statement is affirmative, the tag question is negative, and the answer
normally is affirmative.
- If the statement is negative, the tag question is affirmative, and the answer
normally is negative.
In general, people use it when they expect a certain response.

2. They ask who, what, when, where, why, how often, how far and so on. As in
yes/no questions, in most information questions the auxiliary verb come
before the subject. However, in questions about the subject (with who, which
and what) there is no auxiliary verb.
