The new Associate in Science in Business Entrepreneurship program launched this week at Miami Dade College. The program was developed through a collaboration between MDC's Idea Center and TheVentureCity, a tech accelerator in Miami. The 2-year program will offer courses on startup strategy, product development, and project management. What makes it unique is its focus on helping students develop their original business ideas, rather than using case studies. Business leaders from companies like eBay, Lyft and Facebook will serve as instructors and mentors. The program aims to provide students an exclusive network and access to seasoned business professionals that could help with future funding and mentoring.
