10. Insights
Family relationship bothers the most
01
Problems related to their
family relationships
influence their mental
states the most.
03
Worry about being a burden
to their children/relatives for
elderly care.
02
Worry about social
pressures and rumours
a lot.

11. Insights
Female seniors are under more stress
01
Females around 55 will
experience menopause.
03
The society normally expects
retired females to take more
responsibility than males to
deal with the increased
family caring tasks.
02
The traditional education
urges females to feel
more responsible than
males to keep a perfect
family image. Therefore,
it becomes harder for
them to speak up in
family conflicts.

17. Comparative
Research

Small Insights:
a. The seniors are already a
relatively small group of people;
companies won’t bother spending
time and money focusing on an
even smaller gender group.
B. Due to the earlier development of
gender equality, the gender role
differentiation in western societies is
not as polarized as this problem in
China. Therefore western
companies can find more common
grounds to land their business onto
and solve more universal issues
rather than specifically focusing on
a single-gender group.
