Introduction
Interview is a directed conversation for the appraisal
of personal attitude, skills and manners
Qualitative Assessment
Objectives:
 Verification of information regarding qualification, experience
and claims made in application
 Gather information not available otherwise
 Mutual understanding to reach an agreement

• Comparison with similar or competing
organizations
• Recall all qualifications, experiences
• Review experience, class projects, course
work, student group experience, interests
and hobbies
• how your qualification and experience
contribute to an organization.

Practice
• Practice saying your responses out loud in front of a mirror to
assess your facial expressions
• Film or tape your responses and review your performance
• Have a career counselor or friends and family member ask you a
list of questions and give you feedback regarding posture, body
language, voice quality, eye contact, enthusiasm etc.

1.Tell me about yourself
• This may include your future career
aspirations related to the current job.
• Remain stick around professional
introduction rather than personal or family
• Name, Qualification SSC to till date,
Experience in sequence
• Highlight your positive points during each stage of
acquiring qualification and experience.
• Keep focused on information that let the employer determine your
ability for this position.

2. What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?
• Employers are impressed by people who can be honest, recognize
areas for improvement, and overcome personal challenges
• Strengths that relate to being successful in the
current position
• Back up your statements with examples of experiences
• Choose one you have to overcome, that is not much important to
the demands of the work
• Be genuine, avoid answers such as “I work too hard” or “I’m a
perfectionist.”

“I’m sure you have a range in mind. What are you willing to offer?”

 What are your hobbies?
 Awareness about native / birth place / place of work

Govt. departments, Duties and hierarchy
 Prizes in the fields of interests such as
sports, cultural, media, literature etc.
 Interests of international concern- very common;
such as countries capital, major issues,
technology, inventions, scientists, identification,

 Appearance: Trimmed hairs, shining shoes,

be gentle looking.

select the committed candidates.

Consider using a land line; it will give better connection.
