This is your opportunity to get as far ahead with your coursework and exam practice
as you possibly can as well as support you over the coming year before your final
exam.
Remember this course is 50/50 and that in order to achieve the high levels will take
graft and dedication.
In this pack there will be all the variables for Section A of the exam as well as past
questions for Section B. There will also be other essay questions for you to
complete to show how your understanding is progressing.
As well as exam information there will be a recommending viewing list for possible
case studies for you to watch in own time.
The final element will be a list of everything that you need to include in your blog as
well as the deadlines.

Section A
Section A is split into two questions, each worth 25 marks. These responses both
look at your coursework through the entire two year course.
The first question will ask you to look at both AS and A2 coursework.
The second question will ask you to look at only one piece of coursework such as
your music video, opening for your film, preliminary task or one of your ancillary
tasks. It is important that you DO NOT TALK ABOUT MORE THAN ONE.

Section A: Theoretical Evaluation of Production
You must answer both 1(a) and 1(b).
In Question 1(a) you need to write about yourwork for the Foundation
Portfolio and Advanced Portfolio units and you may refer to other media
production workyou haveundertaken.
1 (a) Explain the importance of research and planningto your media
production outcomes and howyourskills in this area developed over
time. Refer to a range of examples from your media production process in

In Question 1(b) you must write about one of your media coursework
productions.
(b) Analyse the ways in which one of your coursework productions
