3. Symptoms of Appendicitis
Generally, the symptoms of appendicitis are misunderstood with that of gastric pain
whereas gastric pain reduces in a shorter while but the appendicitis pain remains for a longer
time. It is always advised to visit a doctor in such cases.
Appendicitis needs to be cured or operated as soon as possible or may lead to various other
problems.
The pain may start from the navel or the belly button and then move down.
Nausea and vomiting
Fever
Diarrhea or constipation
Reduced appetite
Abdominal bloating

6. What causes rupture of appendicitis?
As of now, there is no such apt or particular reason for rupturing of appendicitis
but it may so happen that the infection at the appendix may exaggerate which
may lead to inflammation.
Generally, when the infection triggers in the appendix it blocks the end of
the appendix which restricts the blood flow. As the appendix is filled with
bacteria and due to blockage of appendix it restricts the flow of bacteria and
bacteria multiplies and reproduces vigorously. This reaction results in the
formation of pus and may cause a hole or tear in the tissues, hence the
rupturing of appendicitis.
7. What are the symptoms ruptured
appendicitis?
Symptoms of ruptured appendicitis could be:
Stomach flu or ovarian cyst
Pain traveling from navel to lower right abdomen
Usually, the patient can go through the classic symptoms of appendicitis in
36 hours of rupturing.
8. Peritonitis & it’s symptoms
The rupturing of appendicitis and the release of infection is known as
Peritonitis which leads to inflammation of Peritontium (the membrane that
lines most of the abdominal cavity and covers most of the abdominal organs).
Peritonitis may lead to restriction of bowel movement which needs to be
treated immediately and may cause fever to the patient.
Symptoms of Peritonitis:
Chills and weakness
High fever
Constant pain or may lead to severe pain
9. Sepsis & it’s symptoms
When the ruptured appendicitis is left untreated, the infection travels all around the body
making it worse. It is known as Sepsis. The inflammation occurs all around the body.
Symptoms of Sepsis may be:
High or low temperature
Fast heartbeat or breathing
Chills
Weakness
Low Blood pressure
Confusion
10. Treatment of Appendictis
There is no other method other than surgery to get rid of appendicitis.
However, the surgery may be delayed with the help of medication.
Appendectomy is the standard treatment for appendicitis. In case, the
appendicitis is infected or has an abscess, appendectomy may add another step
to the procedure where the puss and infected release is drained out of the body
and then the appendicitis is removed from the body.
An appendectomy may be an Open appendectomy or may be done with the
Laparoscopic Appendectomy method.
