3. Characters
Main character- sentenced wrongly accused of a hacking crime that he didn't’t do.
He is awkward and nerdy and fits the ideal description of the hacker. Spends a lot of time
on the internet and knows the internet well but doesn't’t know anything about hacking
only having seen moves and videos about hacking.
However becomes driven and confident in the new environment because of his goal to find
out who framed him. He is able to win over and out smart the rest of his class to get them
to help him.
He lacks confidence deep down but has to put on a character for the class.
He is always reassuring the others that he didn’t commit the crimes he was framed for.
Appearance
Stereotypical nerd

glasses and t-shirts
that are related to
games and pop

Aggressive guy character- big guy with tough act and mean.
He got caught up in a street fight and ended up with him murdering
the other person but is too young to go to prison.
He is dopy and clueless often just believing things at face value.
He tries to keep a tough outer appearance but is actually very soft and
sensitive
He doesn’t have a relationship with any family or friends which upsets him and
causes him to be softer than he looks deeper down.

make him seem
stereotypically tough,

vest.
5. Teacher
Teacher he's extremely pessimistic and doesn't care for his students at all as
he has been teaching in the prison school for much longer than he wanted
to and never got to live out his life ambitions causing him to take it out on
the kids in the class.
He is depressed and grumpy bringing down the mood of everyone else.

prefers his own company, only talking to himself as he moans about others
to himself only.

teacher, shirt , tie and
trousers however looks
scruffy having a shirt that
doesn’t fit him, stains and
marks all over his clothes.

Appearance
6. Branding
The branding needs to communicate the themes of technology and hacking but also bring
attention to the behavior of people. I want it to communicate the message that the show is
interactive and covers new and relevant topics about false allegations and the ability to steal
and use others identity on the internet. The title graphic for example with mesh the themes of
imprisonments and hacking to accurately show what the show is about. I would use cold blues
and silvers to further support the idea of technology but could also use textures such as brick
to enforce the idea of imprisonment. A use of a question mark as a brand ident for the
mystery part of the show could also be easily spread over social media possibly gaining more
viewers to the show and website. The mystery character that is guilty being introduced at the
start and referring to them as the question mark can be extremely spreadable across a range
of media. Having a voting feature for who the mystery character is also can get talk about the
show across a range of social media bringing people to the website and show itself.
7. Initial ideas
Opens with the boy on his laptop signing up for a website and then shows an error.
Cuts to new report stating that a hacker has leaked videos of members of
parliament and he has been found and arrested. This boy is revealed to be the boy
we are introduced to at the beginning. The boy goes in for his first lesson in his
prison school class. As he goes in all of the class are shocked and praise him for
doing something so serious but he gets frustrated stating that he didn't do it and
explains to them why he didn't’t. the opening ends on him getting an email saying
that the person that actually did it is in his class.
8. Initial website ideas
Website to look in hacking style with lots of computer and hacking styled graphic's. The ability to
watch previous episodes and interact with the show by having a voting on who they think the person
that did it is.
The website will contain a catch up hyperlink so that people can always stay up to date.
Character profiles to allow the audience to find out about each individual character and new people
to the show to get to know them very fast. Links to social media accounts for the show.
A blog written from the perspective of our main character writhing a journal as he finds out more
about who framed him and his classmates
The features such as the voting, mystery character ident and the journal will encourage the audience
to keep interacting with the show especially as the target audience of the show would enjoy
theorising about who the mystery character may be
