7. IMPORTANCE
Back then people had no way to get messages
around quickly. People would have to get a
mailman on a horse ride to across states just to
deliver a single mail. With the invention of the
typewriter, people save time by not having to
ride across the country to deliver their
messages. This was during a time near the
manifest destiny so people moving west needed
to talk to their families east. The typewriter also
opened up ideas for the telephone and other
mobile communication devices.

- He worked with Niepce to find a new
process that took less time then usual
