way to transmit a message from one
place to another and in 1830s and 1840s
invention done. On May 24,1844
Telegraph took place and electronically
transmitted the famous message ‘WHAT
HATH GOD WROUGHT’ from
Washington to Baltimore. But through
telegraph we could only send short
messages. After that in Mid 19th
Century, Pneumatic Post system
developed for sending message and
installed in Post Offices and Telegraph
offices. In 1842, Scottish Clockmaker
Alexander Bain invented the Fax
Machine, by which he sent picture-by-
wire using analog telegraph technology

First mechanical computer was created by
Charles Babbage in 1822, which not

Vinton Cerf and Robert Kahn. On 6
August 1991, the World Wide Web went
live to the world and till now we are using

one computer to another sitting right

on ARPANET connection.
Matti Makkonen, a Finnish Engineer
conceived the idea but after 8 year on
December 3, 1992, first message is
transmitted by Engineer Neil Papworth
typed “merry Christmas” on a computer
to the Vodafone director’s cellphone. (Do
you know: NOKIA was the first handset
manufacturer in 1993 enabled text
messaging)
Motorola was the first company to
produce handheld mobile phone.On April
3, 1973, Martin Cooper, a Motorola
researcher and executive, made the first
mobile telephone call.
