2. Formal Greetings
We use Formal Greetings with:
People we don't know.
At work.
To be polite.

3. FORMAL GREETINGS
 Hello - at any time = Hola - en cualquier momento
 Good morning = Buenos Días.
 Good afternoon = Buenas Tardes.
 Good evening = Buenas Noches.
 Good Night - when going to bed = Buenas Noches -
cuando vas a dormir.
 Goodbye - Adiós
 See you later - Nos vemos más tarde.
 See you soon - Nos vemos pronto.

4. Informal Greetings
We use Informal Greetings with:
People we know from before.
 Family.
Close friends.

5. INFORMAL GREETINGS
 Hi , Hiya - at any time = Hola - en cualquier momento.
 morning = Buenos (días).
 afternoon = Buenas (tardes).
 evening = Buenas (noches).
 night = when going to sleep - Buenas noches, cuando vas
a dormir.
 bye, bye-bye = Adiós.
 see you then = Nos vemos Luego.
 see ya! = Nos vemos.

6. EXCERSICE
 A: Hello, How are you?
 B: Good Morning, I’m fine and you?
 A: I’m good, thank you!
 B: See you later.
 A: See you soon.

7. EXERCISE
 A: Hi, John!
 B: Hiya, How are the things?
 A: Good, and you?
 B: Very nice, I have to go now.
 A: Ok, See-ya!
 B: See you then.

8. FOR YOU
 Go around your town and try to meet 3 different
people you really don’t know.
 Then, take a picture with Him/Her and put it in a
Paper Collage.
 Finally, bring your Paper Collage to the class and
share it with your partner.
 DON’T FORGET TO GREET these people in
English no matter what language they speak.
