About the Course Director
JULIAN ROCHE,
Financial Services and Training Consultant, Australia
An acknowledged PPP expert, Julian was part of
the team that implemented the first PPP project
in the UK, and has advised several banks as well
as the Singapore Government on PPP. Julian is
an independent consultant operating between
Singapore and United Kingdom. He has been
involved in financial training and consulting
since 1998 and has delivered Corporate Finance
programmes in Singapore and London, to a number
of blue chip companies. His areas of expertise
include PPPs, PFI, Financial Modeling, Mergers &
Acquisitions, EVA, Business Valuations, Corporate
Restructuring, and other aspects of corporate
finance.
Julian has delivered corporate training to clients such
as Institute of Chartered Accountants in England
and Wales, International Faculty of Finance, New
York Institute of Finance, International Banking
Institute, Panama, The Institute of Chartered
Accountants of Scotland, Securities Institute of
Australia and the Federal Trade Commission, US
amongst others. In addition, his consulting clients
on financial services, risk management and
corporate governance have included Reuters,
European Union and the World Bank, and he
has been a UNCTAD Representative on the UN
Expert Committee on Sustainable Development
Indicators.
He has over 17 years of business experience
including assignments at Ministry of Defence,
Whitehall, London, and as Director Forecasting
Service at DRI McGraw Hill. He has also been
Head of Research at Hudson Venture Partners,
responsible for the selection and evaluation of
investment projects, and headed the business
valuation practice. In addition, Julian has
been Vice President at MHCi, responsible for
corporate finance advice to clients.
