Basuki Pratama Engineering (BPE) has been produce Steam Boiler with cheaper alternative
energy (http://www.basuki.com). This company have facing problem to get information

about progress and cost in activity of all project. The problem come from current system is
not integrate some of major department, such as Project Management, Engineering,
Procurement, Manufacturing, Product Delivery, Project Installation and Commissioning,
Accounting and Finance, ect. IFS Applications as one of the leader in ERP product has been
selected by BPE to give a solutions about the above problem. To meet the expectation of
BPE, IFS Applications has a complete feature for Project Based with Manufacturing and
Product Delivery Solutions, and i am as a business consultant has some experiences in
Implementations of Project Based Solution, such as Bakrie Metal Indonesia. In the
implementation of Project Based Solutions, there are some area to be integrated, starting
from Contract Management, Project Planning, Design Engineering (Product Planning),
Project Execution and Project Conclusion. The Contract Management Area is covering

b. Material Requirement Planning as an Advance Planning for Sanitary Napkin
Industry Solutions in Softex Indonesia (October 2013 – February 2014 as Project
Manager / Business Consultant)
Softex Indonesia (http://www.softexindonesia.com/) as the producer of sanitary napkin
products has a problem to maintain demand and supply. Many problem occur such as over
stock of finished goods that caused by the differences of the sales and forecast, or
cancellation of production schedule that caused by lack of raw material. This problem has
been solved by utilize of Master Schedule (MS) and Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
module. MS and MRP is the part of IFS Manufacturing module. With MS, the problem of
sales forecast has been solved by calculating the Annual Forecast by considering external
and internal constraint. The Annual Forecast is created for Product Family (product level 0)
and to be updated as the Running Forecast every month for the forecast three month later.
Then, this Running Forecast will be disaggregate to be the Running Forecast for Finished
Goods Product (product level 1). The last, the Running Forecast for next month will be
detailed as a daily Production Planning. With MRP, the Running Forecast and Production
Planning will be calculated as a demand to generate Supply Proposal, either supply of raw
material by purchasing process or supply of finished goods by manufacturing process. Every
time any the changing of sales forecast, MS and MRP will be run again to generate revision
of Forecast and Supply Proposal, so the balancing of Forecast and Supply Proposal is still
maintained. But, sometimes the Supply Proposal is being executed, so the changing of sales
forecast is not allowed. In this case, important to be define the Demand and Planning Time
Fences, the changing of sales forecast is allowed for Beyond Demand and Planning Time
Fences.
c. Pharmaceutical Industry Solutions in Soho Group (November 2012 – October 2013 as
Business Consultant)
Soho Group (http://sohoglobalhealth.com) as the pharmaceutical industry has some major
focus, i.e. batch processing, toll manufacturing, quality assurance, warehouse management,
costing etc. Pharmaceutical product is usually produced as a bulk mixture by batch
processing with a lot/batch number to tracking purpose. Pharmaceutical industry has a
specific license to produce a specific type of pharmaceutical product, so the toll
manufacturing is the solution to produce other type of pharmaceutical product. Quality is
the king, to achieve it, has a quality control plan for purchasing of raw material and
manufacturing of finished goods is a must. Pharmaceutical product need a specific handling,
with warehouse management, we can put the right material in the right location in
accordance with the storage condition and capability requirement. The accuration of
calculating a standard cost of product is needed to achieve a competitiveness price.
d. Project Based Solutions in Bakrie Metal Industries (March 2012 – November 2012 as
Project Manager / Business Consultant)
Bakrie Metal Industries (http://www.bakrie-metal.com) has a focus to monitor a Project
Profitability. A project has a group of cost that separately between manufacturing and

project site cost. Each a group of cost has some of cost element, such as materials, labor,
equipment, overheads, design, engineering, subcontract, etc. Otherwise, there are revenue
element, such as sales revenue and discount. Either cost or revenue element has a plan
cost as a budget. Then, actual cost or revenue element will be triggered from engineering,
purchasing, manufacturing, sales, and project transaction. Every project milestone,
comparing plan and actual cost is an activity to control and forecast project budget. In the
end of project, comparing actual cost and revenue element to decide a project has a profit
or loss.
e. Logistic Solutions in Sumi Rubber Indonesia – Dunlop (October 2011 – February 2012
as Business Consultant)
Sumi Rubber Indonesia (http://www.dunlop.co.id/) has used IFS Distribution to handling
Procurement, Sales and Maintain Inventory. The procurement process is covering
purchasing domestic and import, either inventory part or non-inventory part. The major
differences between domestic and import purchasing is about maintain Goods in Transit.
Purchasing import need to maintain Goods in Transit after the goods already shipped from
supplier. The sales process is covering sales export, OEM (original equipment
manufacturer), Replacement and Return Order. Sales OEM and Replacement is standard
sales process for domestic customer. Sales export is more complex sales process, because
the demand is triggered from import purchase order as an incoming sales order. The
incoming order will go through the approval process to be a sales order. In addition, sales
export has more activity to deliver the order, such as Packing List and Export Document.
Maintain inventory process is covering some process, such as Transport Task, Handle Pallet,
Stock Taking, Issued Material and Other Part Handling (Scrapping Material, Inter Site
Transport, Manual Issue/Receive Material, etc.).
f. Material Requirement Planning as an Advance Planning for Automotive Industry
Solutions in Showa Indonesia Manufacturing (November 2010 – September 2011 as
Project Manager / Business Consultant)
Showa Indonesia Manufacturing (http://www.showa.co.id) is a company of automotive
component, especially shock absorber. This product has complexity of product structure
with many raw material and finished parts that need a solutions to plan of material demand
and supply. Showa has a specific planning method of demand and supply, especially about
Supplier Delivery Schedule and Supplier Picking Material Schedule for toll manufacturing, by
considering the supplier type and delivery pattern. Therefore, Showa has deciding to create
full customized of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) module. The first process, demand
come from sales forecast data will be detailed into Master Production Planning. This demand
will be calculated by MRP engine to create supply proposal. To create supply proposal, MRP
has some calculation step. The first step is calculate Material Demand Detail to exploding
the all component of independent part demand based on valid product structure. The
second is calculate Material Demand Summary to grouping the demand per component and
date required, then calculate net requirement by considering the lot size and outstanding
stock. The third is calculate Supplier Material Distribution to distributing the net requirement
to all supplier, considering split percentage, lot size, delivery term and outstanding order.
The fourth is calculate Supplier Delivery Schedule to creating delivery schedule of each
supplier, considering delivery pattern and schedule exception. The fifth is calculate Supplier
Picking Schedule to creating schedule of picking supplier material to be toll manufacturing.
The last is calculating Demand Supply Summary to monitoring the balance plan stock.
g. Maintenance Solutions for Chemical Industry in Inter Aneka Lestari Kimia (March
2010 – August 2010 as Project Manager / Business Consultant)
Inter Aneka Lestari Kimia (http://www.interaneka.com/) has used IFS Maintenance only for
Equipment Administration, Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Work Order
Scheduling and Equipment Cost Analysis. Equipment administration has used for defining
Structure of Functional and Serial Object, and also the spare part of serial object.
Preventive maintenance has used for defining Standard Job of Preventive Action and
Preventive Schedule. Preventive schedule can be defined as Separate or Round Action. The
schedule can be defined based on Calendar, Event or Condition. Corrective maintenance has
used for follow up the fault report or work request. Work order scheduling has used for
monitoring of resource load. Equipment cost analysis has used for review the cost that has
been consumed by preventive and corrective action.

has the focus about equipment performance. IFS Maintenance has some solutions to
maintain equipment performance, starting from Equipment Administration, Preventive
Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Work Order Scheduling, Equipment Cost Analysis,
and Equipment Performance Analysis. Equipment administration has used for defining
Structure of Functional and Serial Object, and also the spare part of serial object.

performance of maintenance activity. There are three parameter to be analyzed:
Availability, Performance and Quality. Availability is a comparison of the planned operating
time and the time in which the machine is actually making products. Performance is a
comparison between the actual productions rates during the available time compared to
what could have been produced under ideal circumstances. Quality is expressed as a
comparison of the number of products made and the number of products made that meets
the customer specification.
