6. The researchers wanted to know the usability
of library services; also they observed that some of
the students didn’t know the importance of library
services in the learning process. For these reasons,
the researchers assess the extent of student’s
observance in evaluating the usability of library
services as perceived by Grade 12 HUMSS
students of Teodoro M. Luansing College of
Rosario.
This realization influences the researchers to
study and investigate how the students helps in
their learning process by the used of library
services.

This study is guided by the following expectations
and views:
1. That the respondents will answer the
questionnaire objectively and sincerely.
2. That the researchers will do all the strategies to
collect and exact results.
3. That the students will be guided by the outcome
of this study.
9. Statement of the Problem
This study aims to determine evaluating the
usability of library services as perceived by Grade 12
HUMSS Students Of Teodoro M. Luansing College Of
Rosario.
Specially, this study seeks answers to the following
questions:
1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:
1.1 Age; and
1.2 Gender?
2. How a library does gave user expectations of library
usability in terms of:
2.1 Relevancy to the information needed
2.2 Adequacy to details needed
2.3 Simplicity of using the library system

11. Significance of the Study
The researchers believed that result of this study will be
beneficial and contribute a big help to the students, teachers, school
administrators and future researchers. Though these study, the
Grade 12 HUMSS student will evaluate the usability of library
services.
Students. This study will serve as a guide in evaluating the
usability of library services. They can discover the importance of
using library than other online websites.
Teachers. It will be an effective for the teachers to guide
and help students to notice and evaluate the importance and
usability of a library services.
School Administrators. This study will help them become a
breast with the trends and practices in Evaluating the Usability of
Library Services as perceived by selected Grade 12 students of
Teodoro M. Luansing College of Rosario.
Future Researchers. The finding of this research makes the
future researcher to be motivated for what they want to prove and to
sink or those people who are not related on this study.
12. Scope and Limitation
This study has focused on evaluating the usability of
library services as perceived by selected Grade 12 HUMSS
students of Teodoro M. Luansing College of Rosario.
The researchers used Questionnaire as the instrument
in gathering data to find out the useful of using library in
gathering information and in the learning process of the
Grade 12 HUMSS students of Teodoro M. Luansing College
of Rosario.
The subjects of the study are the Grade 12 HUMSS
Learners of Teodoro M. Luansing Collage of Rosario, There
are 50 respondents from different sections of Grade 12
HUMSS Students.
14. The study of Edem (2002) is similar to the present
study because it deals with library services that offer in a
library. However, the differences of this study to the present
study are the respondents, time, school that used and
focused of subject.
Then, study of Ezeala et.al (2011) others is similar to
the present study in terms of the evaluating the lending
services in the library. The only difference in the present
study are the respondents, time, school used and focused of
subject.
Next, the study of Saika et.al is similar to the present
study because their study focused on the degree of
satisfaction in the library materials perception of services.
The only difference of their study to the present study is the
dissatisfied with the mobile alert services.
15. Also, the study of Wallis et.al (2004) is relevant to the
present study since its emphasis were the satisfaction of
library opening hours, library registration and loan services.
The only difference is that the present study specially in the
respondents, time, school used and focused of subject.
Likewise, the study of Aghojare et.al (2015) and others
was similar to the present study because it revealed that you
were satisfied with the services of a library, the difference of
their study to the present study is the subject and respondents.
In addition, the study of Colorado et.al (2004) was
similar to the present study since it focused on the library
media specialists for the students. The only difference of their
study to the present study is that it focused on the
collaboration on the effect of library on the students.
16. Still, the study of Smalley et.al (2004) is similar to
the present study because of dealt with the library services
and instruction. The only difference is that it also tackled on
the training of the teachers or librarian for the instruction.
Lastly, the study of Lance et.al (2009) is similar to
the present study because it deals with the library programs
and services. The difference is that the existing study also
tackled about the collaboration of media specialists on the
library.
18. Research Design
The study used the descriptive method of research.
The descriptive method is defined as a granded matter of
observation or experience. It involves the description,
recording, analysis, and interpretation of the present nature,
composition or process of phenomena.
Furthermore, Good and Scates (2011) states that the
descriptive studies include all those investigations that
purport to present facts concerning the status of anything a
set of condition a class of events or a system of thoughts on
any kinds of phenomena which one may wish to study.
Similarity such methods present the relationship that exists,
the process that are going on the effects that are felt and the
trends that are developing.
19. Subject of the Study
The respondents in this study are
selected 50 students from the grade 12
HUMSS from the Senior High School
at Teodoro M. Luansing College of
Rosario. Forty five hundredths percent
(45.45) of the population of the Grade
12 HUMSS Senior High School was
included in this study.

21. Data Gathering Instrument
The self-made questionnaire was used by the researchers as
the main data gathering instrument to collect the necessary data
needed in the investigation.
To prepare the questionnaire the researchers read a lot of
materials like books, journals, and unpublished researchers related to
the present study. The questionnaire was divided into three parts.
The researchers submitted the sample draft of the
questionnaire to the thesis writing teacher for checking and
suggestions. Next is the validation of the thesis adviser, then after
some revisions it was submitted to the thesis committee in the
proposal defense. After analyzing the result of the validation, the
researcher arrived at the final draft of the questionnaire.
22. Data Gathering Procedure
The researchers sought the permission of the Senior
High School Principal to utilize these results in this study.
With the approved permit from the Senior High School
Principal, the researchers arrived at the distribution of the
questionnaires to the Grade 12 HUMSS Students at Teodoro
M. Luansing College of Rosario as the respondents. The
respondents were asked to check the column which best
describes their perceptions of the different aspects of the
problem.
After few minutes, the researcher retrieved the bunch of
questionnaires from each section. One hundred percent of the
questionnaires were retrieved.
