1. How does your media product represent
particular social groups?
• During the making process of my magazine I did a lot of research in to what
rap and grime audiences lifestyles and what they like doing, by doing this I
was able too get a clear understanding of what the audiences would like
too see in my magazine and what would interest them and make them
want to buy this magazine.
• I feel that from doing this research I can see that my artist needed to be up
and coming and be interested in the fashion and culture of rap and grime,
this is because if you are keeping up with fashion trends or setting fashion
trends this is a massive part of society now and this is also a big part about
getting a status in modern society. This is why my artist Joel Roberts was
dressed in a Stone Island jumper as Drake wears a lot of Stone Island and if
you wear it you are seen as keeping up with the rap and grime fashion and
this is a sign of respect. The polo shirt gives his style a relaxed feel.

particular social groups?
• I based Joel on current rap and grime artists like Stormzy, Drake and Skepta as I felt all of
these artists have a big influence on the fashion of the genre and are the biggest names
in this genre so if you can dress like them it shows you are part of them.
• I felt that by using these traits the audience will be attracted as they recognise the
clothing and be interested in the magazine. This will also make the audience intrigued
about who this guy is and make them want to buy the magazine to read about their
story.
• By doing this styling my magazine will look like t is up too date with all of the modern rap
and grime fashion, culture and events surrounded by this genre. This magazine attract
both men and women as it is quite an open genre. Even though my magazine is
completely a rap and grime magazine I believe that once it becomes popular more
people will begin to read it as the grime genre will grow and more people will start
reading about the artists and learning about them. This is being helped by artists like
Stormzy who is breaking in too mainstream music which is giving grime a bigger name,
this will make more people want to read about up and coming artists like Joel.
