2. Bumper #1
The first idea I had was to have a blacksmith hammer the logo while the
camera pans to the finished product on the anvil. I would remove the smith
because he would be an unnecessary detail and would have the equipment
move itself. Will most likely be a floating hammer with an anvil at the
forefront while a fire rages in the background.
Note: None of the bumper
previews are representative
of how the final product will
look.
3. Bumper #2
The shot would start off blank for half a second as a crucible is lowered
into it, pouring its contents into a mold of the logo, the camera panning
to see the liquid metal fill in the mold and cool in a matter of seconds.
Will have the crucible fill all the letters in the center most part of the
mold.
4. Bumper #3
A bit unrelated to the other two ideas, I would like to have the now forged text break
through a wall of stone, I’m thinking cement or even a bit of tile, though I will most likely
have the text, the color of steel, come through an old-fashioned red clay brick wall.
5. Fonts for 1st Bumper
I am thinking in using text that is thick and bold, that has a very strong
appearance, and I am partial to the blockier text, though I do like how a
thick, rounded text looks, makes me think the words were made of twisted
metal rods, and I would imagine it to be difficult to hammer it to shape. I will
be using the same style font for the 3rd bumper.

6. Fonts for 2nd Bumper
A mold having molten metal filling it in seems like it would leave more
freedom in the text choice, and I selected a few that had more sharp
edges and extra little details because of this, making it all look more
ornate.

7. Color Schemes for 1st Bumper
Well, the background will be pitch black, maybe a simple workshop if
time allows, though I think I would just make it pitch black because I
don’t want extra details getting in the way of the main focus, the anvil
in the foreground being beating by a hammer, with a furnace letting off
a strong red glow to help dispel the black background and distinguish
the foreground. The metal bar being shaped will at first be orange red,
cooling into the color of steel.
8. Color Schemes for 2nd Bumper
The 2nd Bumper is going to have a mold that is getting filled in on the ground,
so I think the background is going to be a dirt floor, color brown, while the
mold itself will be a darker shade of grey, while the metal will be an orange-
red and will cool to a silver finish, like if one where casting aluminum.
9. Color Schemes for 3rd Bumper
I like the idea the idea of the foreground being a red clay brick wall,
with grey mortar in-between, but when the wall breaks, the
background will be black while the text itself will be the color of
polished steel.
10. Animations
• For the 1st Bumper, I would like the fire in the furnace to flicker and move,
while the hammer comes down on the red-hot metal on a the anvil,
coming down three to four time, sparks flying with each hit and the metal
flattening. Once done, the camera will pan to a birds eye view of the
finished product, cooling all the while to a nice silver polish.
• The 2nd Bumper will just have the liquid metal pouring into the mold, filling
it all the while changing shades or orange and red, like lave, all the while
the metal that has been exposed for a second or two would rapidly cool to
a silver finish.
• The 3rd Bumper would begin with the sound of something strong and heavy
hitting a brick wall, cracking it and shaking the camera until the fifth hit
brings it tumbling down, exposing the metal text. If I can find a good guide
well enough I would like to make the walls dust with each hit as well,
especially when the wall breaks.
