MANTICA is proud to announce the IMSAgent Evolution Pack 12. It provides ongoing support for testing and monitoring services in relation to VoLTE, WiFi Calling (VoWiFi), Voice over Broadband and Rich Communication Services (RCS). This new release features over 200 improvements and 24 test cases to the most popular Active Testing and Monitoring IMS agent, with two major features aimed at testers and service assurance teams: New test cases intended to check how well the VoLTE voice calls perform during a massive data exchange in the LTE network and 3GPP2 SMS test cases.
#IMSAgent Evolution Pack 12 is independent of software-based IMS client devices and has been designed according to the most relevant industry standards: IR.92, IR.94, IR.25, IR.51, IR.90, IR.95, IR.65.
And now, the big question is, what is new in IMSAgent Evolution Pack 12?
Data Test Cases. The test cases fill the LTE radio link with data traffic during the whole duration of the voice call, data traffic starts before the call setup phase and lasts until after the call is released.
3GPP2 SMS over IMS test cases. VoLTE networks deployed by mobile operators owning a legacy CDMA2000 network tend to implement the 3GPP2 SMS over IMS technology for the exchange of short messages, defined in 3GPP2 X.S0048-0 specification, instead of the SMS over IP technology, defined in 3GPP 24.341 specification.
And what else is new in IMSAgent Evolution Pack 12?
RCS File Transfer including resume feature. This new feature is intended to add a Transaction ID in the test cases that monitor the RCS File Transfer over HTTP service. The Transaction ID is an optional value that is included in case the client supports the optional resume of file uploads.
Configurability in the IMS Agent: B hangs up. The IMS Agent state machines have been parametrized and new API calls have been added that let the scripts configure the party that releases the session, the originating or the terminating party.
Refactored RCS Clean procedure. The procedure to clean instant messages which are stored in the RCS network, in the IM-AS node, has been refactored, a new state machine has been implemented in the IMS Agent which handles every possible combination of forwarded IM’s and notifications of IM’s that can be received in an RCS client.
