Teachers love the course planner which takes the curriculum and breaks it down into class exercises including block assessment timings. Great planning resource if you want to add additional creative activities to your lesson. It is FREE with book when you purchase book and assessment packs.

National CurriculumNational Curriculum
To help schools develop their courses, TeeJay Publishers has produced a Course Planner for the National Curriculum Year 1.
This Planner from TeeJay provides substance to what the content of each level includes, and gives
an indication as to what is required at that level, with some basic examples where necessary.
It provides the basis of a course based on TeeJay’s Year 1 Books 1A and 1B and includes a final column which will allow planners to
list practical activities, ICT Resources and specific methodologies. (These can be typed into the boxes provided).
The Planner comes in 2 parts.
Part A lists all the National Curriculum Outcomes in order, as listed in the official document.
Part B lists the chapters from TeeJay’s Year 1 Books 1A and 1B in the order we recommend schools should follow.
• All of the work for the National Curriculum (Year 1) comes from our TeeJay Maths Year 1 Books 1A and 1B.
• TeeJay suggests that it would be preferable to progress though the books (in the order of your choice) and use this document as a checklist to
make sure that the work of the Year 1 Curriculum has been covered.
• At the beginning of the Year 1 Book 1A, there is a Chapter 0 which revises and consolidates all the work completed in the Pre Primary (Foundation) Year.
• Each book contains a set of answers for all the exercises. This allows for pupil self checking or for peer marking.
• At the end of each chapter of each book is a “Revisit-Review-Revise” assessment. These could be used as diagnostic tools after completing a topic.
• Each of our books can be supplemented by using our Homework Packs.
• The course is also supplemented and supported by TeeJay’s Year 1 Assessment/Diagnostics Pack. (Assessments are listed in purple).
