Describing cultures around the world

Who is it addressed to?
• The blog will be addressed to students of eleventh grade in a public
school in Medellín.
Environment and methodology
• The students have basic level, so the idea of the blog is to monitor them
inside the classroom, in order to help them with all their concerns. In
addition, to take advantage of the technological resources there are in the
classroom such as computers and internet access.
Topic
• the students will be able to describe cultures around the world, considering
some aspects such as music, religion, language, clothing, sports, food,
territory, celebrations and representative places.To do so, on the blog will
appear information about six cities: Medellín (Colombia), Mumbai (India),
London (England), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Auckland (New Zealand), and
Cancún (Mexico).
Resources
• As this is a cultural topic, this blog will include some videos, a lot of images,
readings, and power point presentations. All of them related to the cultural
aspects of the chosen cities.
