2. • The use of the countdown adds excitement
and is used at the beginning of the trailer. The
black background makes everything look more
mysterious and incises the audience to carry
on watching the trailer.
3. • The extreme close up of the girls face shows the emotion of
the character and allows the target audience to feel worried
about what had happened to the girl in the scene. Without to
use of the extreme close we would be unaware of the
characters feels. Due to this shot we can see the swelling
under her eyes from crying and the redness of her cheeks.
4. • The use of an establishing shot allow the
target audience to see how where the
character is. Before this shot we were
unaware that the character was standing on
the ledge of a bridge. This creates tension as
we want to know whether she will jump of the
bridge or not.
5. A overhead shot is used in order to show that
there is a conversation between two people. This
is used in order for the target audience to feel
like they’re watching the conversation rather
than part of a conversation. This links to
gratifications entertainment as it makes them
feel relaxed whilst they’re watching the trailer.
