VE series is a mixed series including single and double low-E coatings,what’s awesome is,VE142 coating keep
only 19% LT% while keeping only 37% LT%.In China you can find almost all matched costings beside VE142
as,low light transmittance always means high light reflectance (25-25%), the lowest coating we can find has
26% LR%,see below chart for more details:
Viracon VNE series:
Same as Guardian SNX,PPG solarban 70/90,Pilkington Suncool Q50/60/70, Viracon VNE series are also
compose 2 triple silver low-E coatings.Till now,most glass manufacturers have developed temperable triple
silver low-E coating and applied them on world landmark projects,the high efficiency in transfer hot sunlight to
cool light makes it priority when designing an LEED facade.
Unlucky,energy-efficient coatings development has reached the limitation.Further 4 layers and even 5 layers
silver won’t be appeared in glass coatings because huge technology difficulty ,and also huge processing

1. Do ensure that glass flatness and curtain wall flatness is well controlled,or there’ll be series curtain wall
visual distortion.
2. Do follow the national regulations on the curtain wall reflectance limit to avoid possible curtain wall light
pollution.
3. Morn failed to match VRE130 and VRE138,as these low LT% coatings are designed for hot areas which
require the extremely low LT% and high LT%,the condition don’t exist in China so factories don’t plan to
develop similar coatings.

Viracon VUE series:
The biggest feature of VUE series is low light reflectance as well,compared with competitors similar
products,Viracon always keep the LT very well.Below chart shows that Morn’s double silver low-E coatings LT
is higher than Viracon under same LT condition.
Viracon VP and VLE series
VP series include VP13,18,22 ,Specialized designed for areas require extremely low LT%.
VLE series is laminated glass of clear glass and low-E coatings -VRE159 and VLE170.
