4. Can you illustrate you ideas visually through storyboard and
sketches?
I can illustrate posters and designs of my characters I wanted to take inspiration from classic
horror characters ( The ghost face) and adapt for the film I'm trying to make whilst honouring and
making a original driven plot and arc for the film. Changing the idea was crucial because of
creativity, original and making something my own and unique.
5. Can you illustrate you ideas visually through storyboard and
sketches?
I can also visually
express unique ideas
and and plans within a
storyboard showing
different and original
ideas within and for the
film for example I have
managed to come up
with a rough outro idea
and planned it out and
how it could end up
looking as well as
storyboarding an idea
for the trailer for the film
as well expressing and
showing dedication this
early on.
6. Who is the target audience for the
product/film?
The target audience for the film is 16 – 18 the
audience is young adults as well as teenagers.
This fits perfectly because I myself am I young
adult who has seen products and familiar with
the product I am making this will co inside with
each other since my audience is exactly the age
group I want to be creating and aiming content
for. The demographic would be horror fans and
north east teen educates who use the internet
actively to show and display the product directly
to them.
7. What research can you present to justify who the
audience is for the product/film?
The research I can provide is 1st degree
research I took upon myself to find within
a google forms quiz inside the quiz I
asked familiar question asking the basis
of age, demographic, hobbies and more
to find out what my age audience is and
where I can take that?. I found that my
audience is 16 – 18 with over 85% results
saying so. So in definitive I will be aiming
at that audience range and a little over to
maximize content reach and feedback.

8. Why is a film a good idea for this
brief/campaign?
A film is a great idea for this campaign because
of the potential and run time. Having a good run
time can show of Britain and the north east in a
proper and dedicated manner but also having a
large run time can mean I can truly express
creativity and show original thought out ideas. A
film can come and show a different perspective
in the north east from my point of view not
setting in non fiction and realism means I could
honour the brief by showing off the north east but
by creating something unique inside of the brief
showing dedication, good work ethic and more. A
film is an opportunity to express ones creative
ideas that cant be done other way’s so having a
‘film would mean perfect means met to the brief
as well as creative expression as for the director
9. What have you learned from researching and
analysing into existing films/shorts?
I have learnt different perspectives
in horror and creativity not
everyone thinks the same in terms
of film. I have learnt that props,
costume, sound, music and sets
are so important in horror and can
draw the line between a good
horror film and a bad horror film. I
have seen that editing is important
not only to film but also to horror.
Researching into existing products
have given me a proper insight on
how to a horror movie correctly
whilst giving a original spin on the
classic genre.
10. Were there any codes and conventions you were going to
follow or challenge for this film and the campaign and
why?
Codes and conventions of horror are simple
but are crucial to making a adept horror film.
Knowing that its not a big budget film makes it
more appealing choosing to follow some of
the codes because they will be planned out
more and thought through. Having a original
idea gives me the idea to test and think which
codes and conventions will work and what
doesn’t. In my eyes I think I will challenge the
codes and conventions of the constructs to fit
them into my film accordingly without shoving
known tropes in horror, instead planning and
having a few important codes present in the
run time, within it I will stick to the tropes but I
will challenge the way the fit into traditional
horror.
11. Ideas on fonts colour scheme images and
layout?
I would say for this film I will be both sans serif font as well as
just serif because the appeal of the unique font would and will
work greatly for posters and visual creative art for the film
showing and giving the art/poster a dynamic and different look
for the film giving identity and character. For the sans I will be
using that for heading, character and credits it doesn’t need to
have fancy fonts showing the cast and crew from the film in a
simple but bold manner.
Colour scheme how will be tones down in most scenes I want
mute and dark tones to fit the theme and setting of north east
and horror it will make the overall project look more professional
and giving it character. In some cases I will draw out colour and
express it in colourful scenes to contrast dark tones and lighter
to show emotion, depth, and the work and set designs for the
film. The layout of the film will be mostly linear and chronological
will some exceptions of flashbacks and unique set pieces to
show of later scenes in the grand scheme of things.
Chronological order means the film can have a construct and
show the audience of scenes and where and how important it is.
12. Why do you think it would be a successful
film for the campaign?
I think it would be successful because of the idea
behind it having a horror idea and making into a
fitting film will give a good run time, creativity and
management. Having a film gives me tools to
create something that fits within the brief and the
campaign by showing of my creative input onto a
set producing and crafting a film. I think it would a
successful film because of how I'm hitting the
brief I'm still honouring the north east and putting
my creativity there put using that to create a
original film can make the brief and idea met
more enjoyable as a whole within the campaign.
13. What is its unique selling
point?
My unique selling point is the idea
behind the brief having a horror movie
from my creativity gives the brief high
met standards whilst having originality
inside of the film. Its selling point is the
theme and plot of the film following a
group of friends versing a masked
killer but yes its been done before time
and time again but each time being
creative and original likewise with my
film having the constructs of a horror
film but creating and innovating the
ideas behind one making mine
original, planned out, thought through
and interesting.
14. How will it appeal and attract to the right
audience?
It will attract and appeal to the right
audience because of the audience
and promoting. The audience is 16
– 18 within that I have found who
and what my audience likes so I
can hit and demonstrate my skill in
what my audience likes to see. The
main point will be promoting having
a trailer and poster (potentially
more than 1) will reach and show
off the dedication of the film.
Promoting the film with posters and
social media can mean I can show
off the film and its product in its full
glory. Promoting will be a key play
in attracting my audience and
getting my product out there in the
15. How do you think your film is right for the client and their needs? (point of
campaign)
I think the film is right for the client
because of what the client is asking. The
client is asking for a creative idea in and
set in the north east well I'm doing that
having a short film means I can show off
the north east in a positive and thought
out manner as well as coming up with a
original idea present within the north east.
The needs of the client wanting a thought
out creative idea set in the north east is
something I can achieve and honour for
example having creative freedom on the
project gives me the power to create
something amazing and planned out
within the setting of the north east and its
local surroundings.
