My Personal Goals

•   Always wanted to get a Graduate Degree
•   Already in the work force for several years
•   Wanted to get school done before I started
    a family
Change in Job Function

• BA in Political Science, but now I do IT
• Went from being trained by a lady with
  many years of experience to being an IT
  Staff of one
• Organization is in the midst of a strategic
  change
Make Myself a Better Employee

• Be able to manage my organization’s IS
  on my own
• Be able to assist in making the wanted
  changes to our organization through the
  use of IT
• Be able to make arguments for changes in
  technology to the executives
Make Myself a Better Employment
Prospect
• Find a new job with the following pros
  –   Closer to home
  –   Better salary
  –   Not the only member of the staff
  –   Be able to go on vacation without having to
      retrain someone on my job functions or
      answer questions while out
