WORK EXPERIENCE
R&D Engineer (Thin Film Process)
SDK New Materials,Inc - Santa Clara, CA Jan. 2018 – Present.
◦ Collaborated on the development of multilayer electrochromic devices(ECDs) which can reversibly change its transparency
by 60 % in 5 mins, prepared by magnetron sputtering
◦ Performed testing of the device as well as each thin film layer; Analyzed , interpreted the results and presented the reports
on weekly meetings
◦ Discovered the relationship among the optical property/electrical property/device efficiency and process parameters;
◦ Optimized low-temperature sputtering process with statistical methods (DOE, JMP & ANOVA), and obtained a transparent
conductive oxide (TCO) layer with the transparency of 90% and the conductivity of 60 ohm/sq
◦ Redesigned and rebuilt the mass flow controller system, successfully negotiated with various vendors to resolve the flow
inaccuracy issue by increasing its resolution by 10 times
Technical Support Engineer - Functional Adhesives
SDK New Materials,Inc - Santa Clara, CA Aug. 2017 – Present.
◦ Troubleshot a variety of prototype and test issues; performed the Root Cause Analysis to resolve issues; provided technical
solutions to internal team or customers
◦ Worked with clients to design the DOEs and ensured the tests were carried out as standards internally; developed internal
test methods when the standard method is not feasible
◦ Collect the raw data from Rheometer, DSC, DMA & Instron; Analyzed the test results with customers, to select the best
products or improve the current products
RESEARCH PROJECTS
Graduate Research Assistant
The M.C. Gill Composites Center, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, U.S. Feb. 2016 – Jun. 2017
◦ Participated in the build-up of a molding cycle process for polyimide resin panels and woven composites panels
◦ Analyzed the effects of thermal oxidation process on the chemical and mechanical properties of polyimide & composites
