The document discusses feedback received on a movie trailer uploaded to YouTube. It received both positive and negative comments. Positive feedback praised the professional quality, storyline, editing, and camera work. Negative feedback noted that it lacked sound, titles, and voiceovers, and some shots did not seem professional. The creator took this feedback into account, adding sound, titles, and credits using various software to improve the trailer for its official release. Audience feedback helped identify strengths and weaknesses to create a higher quality final product.
2. I uploaded my trailer on
YouTube. The most
popular video sharing
website in the world. I
knew I would get some
feedback. The top
comment helped me
become more certain
about the quality of my
trailer as there are people
who enjoyed it.
3. There have been a lot of positive
comments made about my trailer. All sorts
of people have praised it and all had
unique things to say. These people include
peers, friends, family and people from the
web. Some positive comments such as;
"This trailer seemed professional",
"Great variety of camera shots and camera
angles, for example birds eye views,
medium shots and wide shots."
"Amazing storyline, it's the kind of film i
would pay to watch in the cinemas"
"Excellent fast paced editing, it made me
enjoy the trailer even more as slow paced
editing kind of kills the tempo."
Positive
comments
4. Although I received many positive comments there
were a few negative comments. These negative
comments were needed as they helped me become
more creative and take in account my weaknesses.
Some negatives such as;
"I didn't understand the storyline."
"There is no sound which made the movie dull
and boring."
"No titling or voice overs which didn't make your
trailer seem like a trailer."
" Some of the shots did not seem professional
for example the interrogation scene, as the
camera angle did not help the audience
understand the scene. You would have been
better off with filming from the other side
allowing the audience to be in the middle of
everything. You could have also done with close
ups to see the face expressions of the
characters."
5. At the end I have realized the
importance of audience feedback
before officially promoting the product.
Audience feedback allows response
from the audience who will watch the
trailer. This response in turn allows me
to make my product that of a high
quality. It allows the producer to gain
knowledge on what his strengths are.
This helps him know what he did right
and what he should keep in the official
trailer. It also helps him acknowledge
his weaknesses. This helps him
because he will now realise what he
did wrong, what he shouldn't include in
the trailer as it is not to the liking of the
audience. This again helps him when
the product is realised as there will not
be many criticisms.
In conclusion
6. I have taken into account
some of the negative
comments such as "There is
no sound which made the movie
dull and boring.” I have made
changes into my trailer
taking this negative
comments into account.
Changes
7. This is me using garage band to create
sound. I used sound as the audience who
viewed my trailer in the screening room have
told me sound will make my trailer better and
this is me responding to my audience
feedback.
8.
9. In my original film I didn’t
have titles which the
audience realized and
responded. "No titling or voice
overs which didn't make your
trailer seem like a trailer.”
I made changes to this by adding
titles using motion. I also added
sound using the sound cloud
app recording myself and added
it to the final cut pro.
10. This is the
text in my
film. I also
used motion
to create
this text.
This is also another
convention i followed
which I created in the
software motion. In
every film there is
production credit which
again makes it appear
as a trailer. I too have
followed this
convention
11. I used motion to create
texts and my ident. This
was effective as both of
these elements can be
found in every trailer.
These conventions have
to be included in a trailer
to make it seem and
appear as a trailer. For
my trailer they were very
effective as it
distinguished my trailer
from a film opening
12. Here are the
recordings I
uploaded onto
sound cloud.
I used sound cloud to
create my voice
overs. I simply
downloaded the app
sound cloud and
recorded myself
reading a script. I
then uploaded it on
the net and onto final
cut pro
