PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
UH-60M Test Pilot Instructor Jul 2013 to present
Training Army Aviators to become qualified UH-60M test pilots as well as maintaining the most up
to date classes and training and reference materials for presentation. Tracking and documenting
student progress using various computer based systems (CAFRS, ARTS, and RITMS). Working with
the Army’s Department of Evaluation and Standards to revise and improve the Maintenance
Test Flight Manual and other applicable publications. Applying various instructional methods in
order to enhance systems knowledge, Army maintenance doctrine, and understanding of publications
and regulations.
Maintenance Test Pilot for General Support Battalion Jul 2011-Jul 2013
Managed and performed maintenance of 18 UH60A/L/M and 15 HH60M aircraft positioned throughout
eastern Afghanistan to provide 24/7 General Support and combat medical evacuation (Medevac)
capabilities. Flew over 300 hours as Pilot in Command on combat medical evacuation missions.
Maintenance Test Pilot for Assault Battalion Jul 2007-Jul 2011
Managed and performed maintenance of 12 UH60L aircraft while also performing Pilot in Command
duties for all operations to include D/N/NVG assault, multi-ship, sling load, para-drop and fast rope.
Fielded the UH60M model for the 82nd
CAB. Managed and maintained 6 UH60M aircraft to
supplement A-3/82 General Support mission for deployment.
2. Maintenance Test Pilot for USAAAD (Medevac) Jul 2006-Jul 2007
Maintenance Officer/Test Pilot and Pilot in command for the United States Army Air Ambulance
Detachment based in Soto Cano AB, Honduras. Managed and performed maintenance of 4 fully
equipped UH60L aircraft in order to provide 24/7 Medical evacuation coverage. Provided Medical
evacuation support for numerous humanitarian aid, disaster relief, air ambulance, and training
events for National Guard and USAR units as well as local military and police agencies. Missions
included day, night, NVG, IMC, mountain and overwater hoist operations.
Pilot in Command for Military District of Washington May 2003-Jul 2006
Pilot in command for the 12th
Aviation Battalion, Davison Army Airfield, Ft. Belvoir, VA. Logged 300+
hours as Pilot in command in and around Washington D.C. in support of all military branches and
government agencies as well as various other organizations in the area. Extensive experience
operating in and out of the D.C. and New York ADIZ.
U S Army Warrant Officer Flight Training Program Oct 2001-May 2003
Awarded Distinguished Honor Graduate of the UH60 Flight School XXI program.
Aircraft Mechanic at DynCorp, Ft. Rucker Mar 1994-Oct 2001
Responsibilities included performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on various
aircraft to include UH60, AH64 and OH58. Performed duties as a crewmember on the UH60 and the
OH58.
U S Army Utility Aircraft Repairman (67N) Jan 1989-Mar 1994
Performed all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and services on the UH-1H helicopter.
Stationed with the 2nd
Armor Division, Ft. Hood and 12 CAB in Wiesbaden, Germany. Performed
crewmember duties as the maintenance company crew chief during all maintenance test flight and
recoveries.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Accomplished over 2,500 accident/incident free flight hours as an Aviator in support of numerous
worldwide operations.
Selected to teach at the UH-60 A/L/M Test Pilot Course.
Developed maintenance practices which streamlined procedures and minimized downtime resulting
in reduced cost for the Department of Defense.
Awarded the Sikorsky Winged S rescue Award.
