all aviation training and standardization matters. Personally responsible for flight simulation development, AV-8B pre-deployment
training, AV-8B tactics standardization, and AV-8B instructor qualifications.
As the MATSS Cherry Point Operations Officer, responsible for the following:
- Coordination of Exercise Eager Hawk to include the scheduling of all academic, simulator, and flight events as
well as external support.
- Scheduling and de-confliction of MATSS personnel.

responsible to the Commanding Officer for planning and executing an annual, quarterly, and monthly training plan. Hold overall
responsibility for the training and readiness of over 250 personnel as well as preparing and executing an annual budget in excess of
$685,000.
Developed and executed an annual budget for squadron training in excess of $685,000.
As the Department Head for Safety and Standardization was responsible for the overall safety and standardization of all
squadron maintenance and flight operations.
As the Department Head for Safety and Standardization developed a standard operating procedure for maintenance and
flight operations that resulted in over 3,000 mis-hap free flight hours and the awarding of the 2014 Chief of Naval
Operations Safety Award.
Developed and executed an annual and quarterly training plan that provided the required readiness for a deployment to the
Western Pacific area of operations.
Solely responsible for the training, development, and mentoring of 18 pilots, preparing them for combat operations.
July 2010 to June 2012: Future Operations Officer, Pilot Training Officer/ AV-8B Pilot Principle advisor to the Commanding
Officer on all operational planning and pilot training related matters. Directly responsible for managing and implementing
comprehensive aviation training programs while adhering to Marine Corps regulations and standard operating procedures for 250
personnel and 15 aircraft in the squadron.
Led the planning for two training detachments in preparation for a shipboard combat deployment.
Coordinated with international agencies and NATO allies in order to support contingency combat operations within the
Central Command area of responsibility.
Prepared and executed 24 monthly and weekly flight schedules allowing for safe and efficient training of squadron pilots.
Delivered over 350 hours as AV-8B Harrier Weapons Training Officer instructing junior and refresh pilots.
June 2004 to June 2010: Logistics and Embarkation, Data Systems Officer / AV-8B Pilot Reporting directly to the
Commanding and Executive Officers, formulated and managed the implementation of senior management’s policies for an eight
month combat deployment and two, two month long training exercises in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Led the logistics and data systems planning, preparation, and execution of all administrative, budgeting, and costs
associated with a move of a squadron of 291 personnel, 10 aircraft to and from Afghanistan, and two training deployments
to California.
Budgeted, authorized, and held responsibility for over $225,000 worth of assets.
Planned and executed the movement of over 53 short tons of equipment to and from the continental United States and
Afghanistan.
Completed Basic Officer Leadership Course and Naval Flight School, June 2004 to 2007. Qualified to pilot the AV-8B
Harrier “Jump Jet” aircraft.
