This document discusses the LTC+ program which aims to support the long-term care sector in preparing for future waves of COVID-19 and other pandemics. It provides data on COVID-19 deaths in long-term care homes and identifies key priority areas for the sector including presence of family, workforce planning, planning for COVID and non-COVID care, preparation, prevention, and pandemic response. The document promotes sharing of promising practices and a learning health system approach to support continuous improvement in long-term care.
