From one boutique in Huddersfield UK, Mamas &
Papas has experienced incredible growth over the
last 30 years. We currently have over 60 stores in
the UK and remain committed to the UK market.’
As a business Mamas & Papas has had great
success in overseas markets. In August 2010,
Mamas & Papas launched into the US market
in partnership with Babies R US. During 2012,
we have continued to roll out our extensive
global expansion plan, launching in new
territories such as Russia, South Africa and
China. Mamas & Papas products are now
available in over 2,000 locations across Asia,
Europe, Russia, South Africa, the USA, Canada,
Australia and the Gulf.
Mamas & Papas continues to develop it’s
multichannel offer internationally and domestically
through stores, online & mail-order.

and have an in-house design and development team in the UK
that works closely with our colleagues in Hong Kong. Each
category within the Mamas & Papas range includes iconic,
award-winning products that epitomise our brand.
Mamas & Papas implement the highest standards of safety
and reliability throughout every stage of product design and
development. We are the only British nursery brand to have our
own independently accredited testing facilities. This ensures all
our products meet or exceed British, European and US safety
standards, but they also go the extra mile…

PRODUCT TESTING
All of our products need to be tested to the highest
standards – by their very nature they will be used
regularly, sometimes for many years.
Throughout the design and
approval process we implement
the highest standards of safety
and reliability, so parents can be
confident that their product will
perform as expected and endure
the rigours of family life. We have
our own independently-accredited
testing facilities that
ensure all our products meet or
exceed British, European or US
safety standards, ensuring we
go the extra mile to give security
and peace of mind.
As well as testing products in our
lab, we make sure they can live
up to real life by testing them with
mums and dads. That way,
if they don’t fit in a car boot or
are too hard to steer, it’s back to
the drawing board to see what
can be improved. No one gets it
right the first time and by using
focus groups and user trials with
real mums & dads, we put our
customer are the forefront of
everything we do.

Each category within the Mamas & Papas range includes iconic, award-winning products that epitomise our brand. Mamas & Papas implement the highest standards of safety and reliability throughout every stage of product design and development. We are the only British nursery brand to have our own independently accredited testing facilities.   • 9. 9 PRODUCT TESTING All of our products need to be tested to the highest standards – by their very nature they will be used regularly, sometimes for many years. Throughout the design and approval process we implement the highest standards of safety and reliability, so parents can be confident that their product will perform as expected and endure the rigours of family life. We have our own independently-accredited testing facilities that ensure all our products meet or exceed British, European or US safety standards, ensuring we go the extra mile to give security and peace of mind. As well as testing products in our lab, we make sure they can live up to real life by testing them with mums and dads. That way, if they don’t fit in a car boot or are too hard to steer, it’s back to the drawing board to see what can be improved. No one gets it right the first time and by using focus groups and user trials with real mums & dads, we put our customer are the forefront of everything we do. WE TEST OUR PRODUCTS the way PARENTS use them... We test the equivalent of pushing a 3 year old 143 miles! We replicate a parent carrying a 9 month old for 50,000 steps We simulate a 10kg child jumping on a cot base 1,000 times, in 5 different places We overload our highchairs with a weight of 40kg to check they are ‘up to task’ Our car seats are simulated in a front impact car crash at 30 mph All our ride on toys are tested with a 50kg weight We pull test all seams and small parts to the equivalent weight of a 9-11month old child We replicate lifting a 9 month old child off the floor 15,000 times!
