3. Teaching opens a
door, it give you
an in, it creates a
dialogue.
Dialogue leads to genuine
connections. Genuine connections
create meaningful relationships.
Meaningful relationships can
transform your business.

4. Your
students
can
become...
See what a few super fans can do to help you
grow your business. Embrace their enthusiasm,
engage them with questions and ideas, and
learn from their feedback.
Super Fans
Even if you don't have an official program, brand
ambassadors allow you to expand your reach to
include their circles.
Brand Ambassadors
When you open the door to teaching and
engaging outside of sales, you never know what
you'll find in on the side.

5. Different
Ways to
Teach
Teach what you know
Share your knowledge, expertise not
required. All you need to know is more than
your student.
Teach what you don't know
Problem solve and learn with others. Think
of this approach like a group project. (See
masterminds below.)
Facilitate others
Curious about something? Chances are
others are too. Give someone else the stage.

Salon Series
HOST A LECTURE SERIES
Invite a new person each Salon to present on
a topic they know well. Invite everyone to talk
exclusively about that topic once the lecture
has concluded.
Do as a happy hour, coffee hour, or lunchtime
lecture. Do it as a party or keep it all business.

FLOWING
Open Studio Day
IRL OR VIRTUAL
Invite folks over to see how and where you
work. A glimpse behind the scenes can create
a sense of connection and allows you to
answer questions about your process with all
your tools around you.
Can't do it in person? Host a small group via
Google Hangouts, Skype, etc. Just keep it small
enough you can chat with your guests.

Masterminds
BOOST YOUR KNOWLEDGE
AND SUPPORT SYSTEM
Invite a complimentary mix of folks who can
benefit from recurring check-ins. These
groups allow you to arrive without the
answers but work as a team to find them and
teach one another.
Mastermind groups can last for years or expire
after a few sessions. Both ways can provide
value. Keep an eye on what your goals are.

Workshop
HOST OR CO-HOST
If you have a skill you can share via a
workshop, try one out. In person workshops
take more lift than you expect the first time
but expect them to go faster with each go.
Go it solo or find a complimentary business to
co-host with (or a local spot that could benefit
from a community event like a cafe or nonprofit.

THEY ARE ALL AROUND YOU
Ask questions and invite them to ask
questions of you.
Opportunities are all around you! At lunch, at a
cafe, in line for the bathroom. Tip: stay off your
device so people don't feel they are interrupting.
