What is policy?
The Oxford English Dictionary has defined
“policy” as a course of action, adopted
and pursued by a government, party,
ruler, and statesman. It is any course of
action adopted as expedient or
advantageous. Its operational definition
of policy is a plan of action to guide
decisions and achieve outcomes.
Information and
Communications Technology
(ICT) can impact student
learning when teachers are
digitally literate and
understand how to integrate
it into the curriculum.
National
ICT POlicies
CYBERCRIME PREVENTION ACT OF 2012
(RA 10175)
It is intended to prevent cybersex,
online child pornography, identify
theft and spamming but it also makes
libel a cybercrime punishable by up to
12 years in jail.
IMPORTANCE IN TEACHING ANG LEARNING
Helps educators instill responsible online
behavior, protect students and
educational resources, and create a safer
and more productive digital learning
environment. It’s important for educators
to be aware of the law’s provisions and
integrate discussions about digital ethics
and safety into their teaching strategies.
DATA PRIVACY ACT OF 2012 (RA 10173)
Protects individuals from unauthorized
processing of personal information that
is (1) private, not publicly available; and
(2) identifiable, where the identify of
the individual is apparent either through
direct attribution or when put together
with other available information.
IMPORTANCE IN TEACHING ANG LEARNING
Teachers must always consider the privacy,
equity and peculiarity among students.
Teachers are responsible for holding every
student’s data in confidence and sharing it
only with necessary parties, such as parents,
other teachers, and administrators.
Teachers can keep the student’s data both
private and confidential by stablishing clear
security practices in their classrooms.
SAFE SPACES ACT (RA 11313)
To address existing gaps and issues
on equality, security, and safety of
both women and men in private and
public spaces.
IMPORTANCE IN TEACHING ANG LEARNING
If school knows or reasonably should
know about acts of gender-based sexual
harassment or sexual violence being
committed that creates a hostile
environment, the school must take
immediate action to eliminate the same
acts, prevent their recurrence, and
address their effect.
ECOMMERCE ACT OF THE
PHILIPPINES (RA 8792)
An act providing for the recognition
and use of electronic commercial
and non-commercial transactions
and documents, penalties for
unlawful use thereof.
IMPORTANCE IN TEACHING ANG LEARNING
It aims to facilitate electronic
transactions which can extend to
various aspects of education, such as
online registration, digital payments
fee tuition and fees and the delivery
of online courses.

Computer equipment is often connected
to lots of cables (power, network, etc.)
If these cables are laying on the floor,
they can cause people to trip over them.
Place cables inside cable ducts or
under the carpet or flooring.
A. TRAILING CABLES
SOLUTION:
If any liquids are spilled on electrical
equipment, it can eventually result to
damage or an electric shock to the user
Keep food and drinks away from
the computer.
B. SPLIT DRINKS OR FOODS
SOLUTION:
Plugging too many power cables into a
socket can result in the socket being
overloaded, overheating and a fire
starting.
Never plug too many cables into
a socket. Always make sure there are fire
extinguisher nearby.
C. OVERLOAD POWER SOCKETS
SOLUTION:
Many items of computer equipment are
very heavy such as CRT monitors, laser
printers, among others. Heavy items can
cause serious injury if they fall on
people.
Make sure equipment is placed on
strong tables or shelves.
D. HEAVY OBJECTS FALLING

  • 2. What is policy? The Oxford English Dictionary has defined “policy” as a course of action, adopted and pursued by a government, party, ruler, and statesman. It is any course of action adopted as expedient or advantageous. Its operational definition of policy is a plan of action to guide decisions and achieve outcomes.
  • 3. Information and Communications Technology (ICT) can impact student learning when teachers are digitally literate and understand how to integrate it into the curriculum.
  • 5. CYBERCRIME PREVENTION ACT OF 2012 (RA 10175) It is intended to prevent cybersex, online child pornography, identify theft and spamming but it also makes libel a cybercrime punishable by up to 12 years in jail.
  • 6. IMPORTANCE IN TEACHING ANG LEARNING Helps educators instill responsible online behavior, protect students and educational resources, and create a safer and more productive digital learning environment. It’s important for educators to be aware of the law’s provisions and integrate discussions about digital ethics and safety into their teaching strategies.
  • 7. DATA PRIVACY ACT OF 2012 (RA 10173) Protects individuals from unauthorized processing of personal information that is (1) private, not publicly available; and (2) identifiable, where the identify of the individual is apparent either through direct attribution or when put together with other available information.
  • 8. IMPORTANCE IN TEACHING ANG LEARNING Teachers must always consider the privacy, equity and peculiarity among students. Teachers are responsible for holding every student’s data in confidence and sharing it only with necessary parties, such as parents, other teachers, and administrators. Teachers can keep the student’s data both private and confidential by stablishing clear security practices in their classrooms.
  • 9. SAFE SPACES ACT (RA 11313) To address existing gaps and issues on equality, security, and safety of both women and men in private and public spaces.
  • 10. IMPORTANCE IN TEACHING ANG LEARNING If school knows or reasonably should know about acts of gender-based sexual harassment or sexual violence being committed that creates a hostile environment, the school must take immediate action to eliminate the same acts, prevent their recurrence, and address their effect.
  • 11. ECOMMERCE ACT OF THE PHILIPPINES (RA 8792) An act providing for the recognition and use of electronic commercial and non-commercial transactions and documents, penalties for unlawful use thereof.
