This document is an individual development plan (IDP) used by the United States Department of Education. It contains fields for an employee's personal information, yearly developmental goals over three years, developmental objectives for the current year, and details on planned activities to achieve those objectives such as training courses, assignments, or self-development. The IDP legend provides definitions and examples for each column in the plan, such as specifying developmental activities, priority levels for objectives, and evidence required to demonstrate accomplishment. The employee and supervisor must both sign off to agree on the IDP.
