Position: Regional Manager, Operations
Responsibilities include the following planning, leading, organizing and executing region
operations in order to provide for quality customer services and high customer
satisfaction, financial profitability, and a trained and satisfied workforce. This position
focuses on customer service, growing, strengthening and retaining client relationships
while providing guidance and leadership for regional associates. In addition, the Regional
Manager, Operations is responsible to develop new business opportunities. Set up and
manage multiple full-service or clinic route accounts within the district. Visits customer
site and meets with HIM Director (or his/her designee) per Company and Region
standards and as needed, and checks in by telephone as needed, ensuring that their needs
are met, if not exceeded. Reviews HIM Director’s assessment of account performance
and employee performance. Responds to concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Escalates customer issues/concerns/problems in a pro-active and timely manner
presenting chain of command an opportunity to work with work with regional
management & customer to retain an account.
Demonstrates a solid understanding of the meaningful financial metrics driving the
Company business including revenue mix, revenue per business day, labor per payroll
day, and labor productivity standards and utilizes this information to manage his/her book
of business.
Develops new business opportunities with new customers and existing customers and
works with sales partners and others as appropriate to pursue and close these
opportunities. Introduces and markets new products and services offered by the
Company. Assists in contract negotiations. Reviews sales preformats and contracts,
evaluates for operational implementation and sign-off on profitable business with the
guidelines established by their manager and the Company
Qualifications:
 18 years’ experience in a healthcare environment
 Knowledgeable of Release of Information standards, policies &
procedures and HIPAA regulations and to complete work in
compliance of these and other standards.
 Experience in project management.
 Excellent leadership and good decision making skills
 Advanced computer knowledge (Micro Soft Office, Excel, Word
PowerPoint)

Brazosport Regional Health Systems- March 2011to June 2013
Position: Health Information Management Analyst
Responsibilities include the following:
 Scan, index and quality assure records in electronic health record in Meditech
system.
 Coordinate submission of additional documentation for denial appeals including
Recovery Audit Contractors appeals.
 Cross trained for coverage of all analyst positions for vacations and sick days.
 Filing loose reports of discharged patients.
 Utilize computer system to locate and retrieve records for chart reviews.
 Pull and re-file charts, keeping the file area current, neat and clean.
 Answer phones and perform Release of Information function for walk-in
customers.
 Process requests for records from all requestors ensuring Federal Privacy laws
are followed.

Position: Area Manager
Responsibilities include but are not limited to utilizing all staff in Release of Information.
I manage outsourced release of information departments in multiple Hospitals, clinics and
labor contracts. I over see site profitability, hiring, site coordination, training, evaluations,
and payroll. Maintain constant communication with all sites via email and phone on a
daily basis. I also evaluate productivity at each site at least bi-monthly and conduct time
motion studies to assure efficient use of time and resources. I provide support to my co-
workers and Company by working on site to assist them in transitions and daily work.
 Passed the CRIS (Certified Release of Information Specialist) test and became certified in
release of information in April 2006.
 Computer skills include but not limited to company owned software, Microsoft
office.
 Participated in the Costal Bend TXHIMA (Texas Health Information Management
Association) fall conference presenting a training seminar on HIPAA (Health
Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance in release of information and
maintaining confidentiality in medical records.
 Continuously strive to maintain a courteous and professional attitude and maintain
all sites at the highest level of efficiency.

Position: Release of Information Specialist
Responsibilities include but are not limited to working independently I provide release of
information service for MGH (Matagorda General Hospital). Patient release request include MGH
Billing Department attorneys, subpoena, continued care facilities/fax, and patient walk-
ins, I notarize all attorney and subpoena request. I look up, input, pull, copy, log out, and
file all requests in a timely manner. I display a cheerful professional attitude in the
performance of my daily duties and interaction with customers as well as hospital staff.
Under the supervision of the Houston Area Manager for Sourcecorp Healthserve, I
process all release for Physicians. Linked to company maintained software program for
release of information, to log above releases and have a system ready for daily input.
Evaluate and prioritize daily activates on an urgent need basis. Assure all files have been
appropriately filed and filing cart is empty. Review any outstanding incomplete request to
assure incomplete information has been obtained, forwarded complete files to requestor.
Complete or cancel outstanding billable request via phone and or fax. Remove canceled
request and maintain outstanding billable request in computer system. Thoroughly
review, sort, and process as necessary, all daily incoming mail for HIPAA Compliance. I
maintain and forward to corporate daily and monthly reports. I utilize my problem
solving and decision making skills continuously during the day as needed concerning
urgent request, and time constraints. I diffuse conflicting situations as they arise with
calm professionalism.
